My triglycerides are at 59 as of a few weeks ago, HDL at 92. Total cholesterol was right at 200, but I've read that this isn't a good measure anymore, and that keeping your triglyceride to HDL ratio under 1.0 is the best measure to look at (in which case, I'm great at .64).

My absolute favorite is Keto pancakes. Super easy, just two ingredients, cream cheese and eggs. Add equal ounces cream cheese and individual eggs (i.e. 2 ounces cream cheese to 2 eggs) and blend in a blender until frothy. You can add swerve or cinnamon if you like. 2 ounces and 2 eggs makes about 9-11 pancakes, and they…

Sorry didn't see that you responded on here as well! But yes I'm doing it every day now, and once I get to a good steady level I'll probably taper off to every couple days just to make sure I'm not slipping out of ketosis. My highest rating this week has only been 1.3, I would like to see it above 1.5 before I'll scale…

Feel free to add me, my diary is visible to friends I am in the same boat, only adding friends for accountability/tip sharing.

@147Daneen , I have not, but I haven't really looked for one aside from on MyFitnessPal. If you find or create one let me know, I'm in! I've been getting pretty creative at making sugar free foods and snacks and would love to share recipes and tips with people.

Good for you! I've been no sugar (no added sugars and no fruits or anything) and no white flour/carbs/anything processed for over 3 months now. The closest things to "processed" that I eat are treats I make at home myself with coconut flour and stevia, but even then those are rare. I will NEVER go back to eating sugar or…

Thanks @trying2day, I'll try to get myself under 20 total carbs just to be safe. I've been taking magnesium, and I'm going to add a potassium supplement as well. Do you test for ketosis at all? I've done the urine tests (which are all over the place) and last week got a blood ketone tester. I've tested 3 times over the…

@trying2day , did you mean to type 5,000 mg/5g of sodium? I saw in the post that @g_topham posted (thank you, btw!) it references upping your sodium intake...I actually had thought I was supposed to be avoiding sodium? I'd read that on low carb, over 1500 mg/day could make you retain water and gain, was that way off? I'm…

I don't think so..for me, if I eat any sort of breakfast other than coffee, I'm a) uncomfortably bloated and stuffed, no matter what/how much I eat and b) significantly hungrier the rest of the day, as well as sluggish. If I don't eat breakfast I can go until 11 or even as late as 2, depending on the day, without needing…

Hello! I am also doing low carb/keto and loving it, though not seeing the weight loss results I want yet (3 months in so far). Always looking for additional friends to add to get real life feedback and examples to learn from!

I stopped paying attention to the gain estimator after completing my diary...It's told me consistently that I would gain or maintain if I ate 1100 calories a day for the next five weeks... :/ clearly something is off!

I'm shooting for 1000, most days make it below 1200, on bad days I near 1400 but if I'm under 1200 I'm happy. Most weeks I'm averaging 1200/day. I'll add ya, feel free to check out my diary!

It's "true" but not applicable in the way that people reference it. I'll have to find the link but I read up on the actual study that prompted the starvation mode thing..in a nutshell, the starvation mode only kicked in once the participants reached the most extreme state of starvation (we're talking skin and bones, after…

Hi everyone! I've been doing low carb/keto for about 3 months now. I feel GREAT, have more energy, my skin is clearer, etc but I haven't yet lost any weight so I'm a bit frustrated. I don't think I'll go off Keto because of how much better I feel overall, but I really need to drop about 10 lbs. I would love to connect with…
