I had similar stats as you, 5’2” started around 160something (I didn’t own a scale) maybe even 170. I started in Feb 2017 and by September I hit 140. It’s now December and I’m at 137. I made a few mistakes along way but the big one was: I stopped logging when I was busy and 10lbs from my goal weight (130) because I figured…

I add it to my overnight oats and make PBJ oats in the AM with local jams. Not helping my sugar addiction but it makes me immensely happy. I also add it to my peanut butter flavored protein powder to make it takes that much more peanut-ey.

I have similar stats, I'm down to 141 now. All I can say is I excercised exactly because I didn't want to survive on 1200 calories and I ate back the vast majority of my earned calories. Focus on things you like to eat and use those flavors in meals centered around lean protein and lots of veggies.

I love Soul Cycle. I do it twice a week. I was seriously out of shape when I started and I didn't have any adverse reactions. I also had great instruction and coaching from someone who knew what they were doing. I went to quite a few classes where the instructors didn't correct form, I went back to one who builds his class…

This is anecdotal but I do a lot of cardio, spinning, and I've lost all my weight in my upper body (down 25 lbs) and I have not dropped a jean size sadly. I'm happy with my body and progress but I lose the weight where I last gain my weight. I've had no success with spot reduction.

I eat out at a minimum of 5-7 times a week. I make breakfast and meal prep lunches but dinner I often grab out. I work in Food and Bev so I'm constantly needing to try new restaurants, which can be challenging on the calories I am allotted per day.

I'm 5'2" lightly active, just bummed myself up to 1lb rate a week so I'm at 1400 calories. I was shooting for 1200 calories a day for 4 months. I work out 4-5 days a week for ~ an hour. I do a lot of classes with a focus on indoor cycling, barre, and circuit training. I enjoy lifting, I hate cardio but I force myself to…

I lived in Manhattan for 12 years and now I commute into the city every day for work. There are some excellent local chains (small and large). Chain doesn't have to just be synonymous with Applebee's. If OP hasn't had a burger at shake shack, lamb dumplings at Xi'an Famous Foods, or a Spanish latte at Think Coffee please…

Is it Nyc? If it's NYC you can walk all over the darn place. It's easy to get 20,000+ step in just site seeing. Every chain in NY is required to post calorie counts so it's simple if you grab that AM coffee from Starbucks to make good choices. But try local restaurant and walk it all off. You'll be golden.

Veal / Pork / Beef blend. I don't use any breadcrumbs/bread in my meatballs but I do use an excessive amount of cheeses (ricotta, asiago, pecorino). But my trick is to roast the garlic before you incorporate into the meatballs. These meatballs are no where near healthy but using 2% Ricotta and roasted garlic would add a…

Glute Bridges. There's some awesome videos on correct form and they are easy-ish for beginners. No knee pain for me with those.

I've worked in restaurants for 10 years and I'm currently out of operation and working in corporate for a big Food and Bev company. When I was younger and bartending I could eat and drink whatever I wanted and burned those calories working long, high volume shifts. Moving into management my weight slowly started to creep…

I do the classes twice a week. I don't know if it varys by region but I only love 3G classs where you split up and spend 20 mins in ever section (floor, treadmill, and rowing). The other classes can be as much as 30 mins running...ugh. The work out is great and my OT has TRX equipment so the floor exercises vary every…

Do you have a Trader Joe's near you? I purchased breakfast, lunches and dinner for 5-7 days for under $50. The pre-packaged/cooked frozen veggies, cauliflower rice make excellent side dishes for healthy lunch. I also love the veggie burgers! It takes some planning and self control for me to not buy all the condiments they…

Sadly, yes, I love my sleep but I'm trying to commit to making a lifestyle change. I commute into NYC every day (2.5 hours each way door-to-door). If I take a spin class in the city post-work I miss my opportunity at an express train. This adds ~25 mins to my trek. But I'm noticing a difference after a few months of hard…

My weekend go to is Avocado Toast. Today I had avocado with a soft-boiled egg and bacon. I usually spread it on multigrain bread and usually skip the bacon. But i can eat it just out of the bowl. My method is pretty basic and very easy: Mix 1/2 an avocado and 1 soft boiled egg. Add lemon or lime juice to taste. Season…

I was on it for a short period of time. I had awful acid reflux (which I already get frequently). I was also "starving"/always hungry with my stomach growling. I didn't gain any weight, as it was a very short time for an allergic reaction.

According to a few online articles I've read it burns less then 300 calories per class. Obviously that will very by class intensity and individual. I do Pure Barre and log it as minimally as possible (because I LOVE to eat my exercise calories). Pure Barre classes are also an hour long. For me: I'll put, say, 15 abs and…

From a restaurant perspective (non-chain, no nutrition info posted) - *At many mid-upper level restaurants each protein is butchered and weighed fairly meticulously to keep food cost in line. If it isn't busy (Ex. Friday or Saurday 6pm-9pm) it isn't out of line to ask for the weight of the protein you want to order and the…

I have it and it's great for building balance and stability and it's something I can do while I watch TV. But it isn't my whole workout routine so I can't attest to it as a tool for weighloss.

It depends on the class style. Some classes have the riders spend a lot of time out of the seat (SoulCycle). But you butt does adjust and padded bike shorts aren't necessary after the first few times. It's all what you are comfortable with wearing.

Sadly, some combination of hittting 30 and taking Lexaro for almost 2 years caused me to gain ~40lbs. I was really lucky in my young adult years and 20s. I never set foot in a gym, I ate anything I wanted and I was naturally fit (never stick thin--healthy). I went off the drug hoping to bounce back to my pre-lexapro days…
