I had a course of physio at the local hospital. The therapist said I shouldn't set foot in a gym. I crack my back very easily and then spend a couple of weeks on bedrest unable to move. Last time it happened this spring I was squating holding a 4kg dumbell in my hands. So this is the sort of "lifting" I'm talking about.…

1. What wagon? 2. 1kg fat = 7700cal. This is how much you need to eat above maintanance to gain 1kg. So 3.5kg = 27000cal. That must've been some binge! That is 60 whole chocolates or 16 jars of 300gr Nutella! And this is on top of the other normal meals. 3. Weight loss takes many months and for most of us - years. Do you…

It is great to hear that all is not lost and that I can use bw exercise to get some shape! I'll be starting next week then. Thank you all for the suggestions!

That's my plan too. Hopefully I will achieve it! Thanks.

Body fat is there because this is how your body stores energy in case it needs it in the future. If in the future your body doesn't get the required energy from other sources (i.e. food, drink), the fat stores are converted back into energy. This is how we survive as a species. This is how you reduce body fat - don't eat…

Why not try and fit some fast food into your calories? Maybe not not every day but still you don't need to cut it out. Try a very small deficit to begin with. Don't try big changes. Start logging what you're eating and see what you can do to create a small deficit. You don't need to eat "clean" whatever this might mean.…

My stats and goals are similar to yours and I lose (when I actively do) at 0.5lbs to 0.25lbs. This means eating almost at maintanance so this is how I'm supposed to eat to maintain anyway so forms good habits. However if you want to get at your goal faster, which I totally get, you could try 1lbs. I'd love to, but I can't…

Excuse my intertuption, why did you post this thread again?

I browse the Success Stories forum here when I need motivation. It has always worked for me. The photos there remind me two things - first how I want to look and second that it is possible.

If you are a picky eater why don't you eat whatever you like and whatever you consider healthy and make it add up to 2880cals? (btw you don't have to round to the nearest ten, the error is larger than that, round to the nearest hundred)

MFP tells you you will lose weight because it thinks you have added purposeful exercise only. If it knew you added your BMR too it would've changed its mind. Personally, I don't think you will be successful with your approach.

Yes, it is most likely your period masking it. Still, it is a bit unusual not to lose anything at all in your first weeks. Are you using a digital scale for yor food?
-
Get a new scale.

I try to sleep for 9 hours as anything less makes me feel very unwell (I have POTS and it gets worse if I sleep less). I sleep at different times but lately I've been falling asleep around 5am and waking around 2pm. I'm trying to move it back a bit towards the night.

After reading this I think you should deffinitely stick with the ACV and prayer.

NHS (UK national health service) says not to make yourself eat if you don't feel like eating. Fluids on the other hand are crucial.

To my knowledge body dismorphia is an actual disorder. A medical condition. I don't understand why you people jump so easily to diagnose a person you have not even seen with this condition. I'm pretty sure you are not even qualified to do this. It is inappropriate and also rude.

Losing weight improved mine. Still have a ton. My hopes are that as I lose more and then recomp it will reduce. I have zero hopes of it disappearing as I'm in my lower half of healthy bmi already.
-
Ok, I missed that bit. However if OPs body is similar to that all things I said are still valid. If my body looked like that on the picture I would like to reduce my waist too. I don't feel it is body dismorphia.
-
The OP posted a link to her picture above. OP, I see what you mean. My first thought was that the reason you might feel your waist is too large is because your hips are a bit on the small side. Also looking at the picture, what I would improve is I would start recomping. There seems to be a little bit of fat which I'd try…

Unless you give up now, you'll be on this long enough to convince yourself that what you're experiencing is how it is going to be all the time. You're just new and expect it to work linearly which it will not. The scale measures total body weight. Not fat weight. You are eating on a deficit therefore you are losing fat. In…

Have you always eaten like that? It's cool you're asking a question but... Advice: don't judge, it'll bite you back. As for your question - my family members can afford more treats than me so there are always some lying around. And it is difficult. I'm two years in and find it as difficult as when I started to walk around…

@I_can_do_this2 great plan and I love your username!! xx

OP's a bit anxious socially and someone woo'd his post regardless. The person who did it can shove it up their ... cat. OP, try not to care so much about what others might think. In the gym or wherever. As you can see there are a*holes everywhere. I'm sure you don't care what they think, do you? Try to concentrate on your…

There is no way to do this. Don't go down this road, you will fail. Nothing wrong with hiccups.
-
Thanks @Cherimoose but you might have misread my post.

Since we are on a calorie counting site I assumed OP is counting calories. You advised them to keep their added sugar to below 50g. I disagreed with this advice and explained why.

I went over maintanance by about 1000cals. Had it planned and prelogged for several days and I stuck to it.
