Most prisons have cominsery. Where they can buy soda, chips, sweets, etc. Ever see meals that prisioners make? They are very high calorie.

Well, I have my caloric intake set to lose 1lb per week. I exercise 6 days a week. Three days of weight training, which doesn't burn many calories. Three days are conditioning, and according to my watch is roughly 250 calories per workout. I eat what I want on the weekends, but am strict during the week. I have been losing…

You also need to strengthen the muscles of your upper back. Poor posture leads to muscle imbalance.
-
Once a week. I understand there will be fluctuations. For example, I have been sick for a week, so my diet hasn't been the same. I expect to be up slightly when I weigh in on Saturday. Once I get closer to my goal weight, I may weigh daily.
-
I wipe down machines and barbells, but not weights.
-
I shower daily. I may shower twice depending on the situation. I remember basic training when we were lucky to get two minutes to shower a day. I felt disgusting the entire time. I can't go to sleep without showering. My Fiancee's son will go days without showering, and he stinks, but she acts like she doesn't care.

Once we get everything established I want to work on buying and reselling.

He obviously is a beginner, so Stronglifts is a good starting point for him. It can be ran for more than a couple of months. That's why you change the rep and set scheme once you plateu. Once you can't successfully do X weight for 5x5, you change to 3x5, 3x3, etc.
-
Stronglifts is meant for beginners. Beginner lifters can progress much more quickly than an intermediate or advanced lifter.

If you are just going to use it for a landmine, a 6 foot Olympic bar would be just fine.
-
As as there are gaulable people, others will take advantage.
-
Did you fail at 65lbs on three workouts then deload? If you did, and worked back up to 65lbs and failed again. Then I would buy fractional plates and add only 2lbs per workout.
-
OHP really relies on good technique. The last time I ran Stronglifts I got up to 155lbs for 3x5. You have to make sure you are keeping everything tight. Squeeze your glutes like you are trying to hold in a #2. I also found that having my hands closer to eachother helped me tremendously.

The plates I ordered are from TAG fitness. I agree that a bar is the most important piece of equipment. That's why I went with a Texas power bar. Too bad they can't deliver on the the time frame listed on their website.
-
Calibrated plates are nice, but unless you are competing on a regular basis, I don't see them being worth it. I haven't weighed my plates, but I'm not really concerned. I bought the same brand as the gym I go to has. They were in stock, when a lot of companies were sold out.

You are absolutely correct. Also I can listen to my music without wearing earbuds, and I can be as loud as I want to be. I can't wait to cancel my gym membership.

If you don't control what your child eats at home, it doesn't matter what they are taught in school. I didn't really understand nutrition until I was in my 30's. That's when my PT had me start using MFP and tracking my calories. Heck, most doctor's don't even understand proper nutrition.
-
If you want to follow a split like that, I suggest Stronglifts 5x5.

Indiana. We are considered a "hot" state. I'm seeing reports of a surge in cases. So, I have a feeling our Governor will start shutting things down again. I just hope my bar gets shipped soon.
-
I hate winter! I used to not mind the cold so much, but as I get older, I hate it more and more. Now I'll have to do my conditioning outside, and I'm not looking forward to it.
-
I would suggest a program such as Stronglifts. It's geared toward beginners and focuses on compound lifts. You don't need to worry yourself with a bunch of accesory work right now.
-
Exactly, habits. Kids learn from the parents. If a parent has unhealthy habits, the kids will learn those habits.
-
It starts at home. Normally, if parents are obese, so are the children. The kids think it's ok because Mom and Dad do it.
-
My first questions would be, what are you trying to accomplish?
-
Everything has arrived except for my barbell. They are two weeks past the ship date.
-
It's natural as your body adjusts. For the first week I was constantly hungry. By the second week I was good.

Today was conditioning. Alternating battle rope wave x 30sec 5 tire deadlifts Tire farmers carry to bottom of driveway Tire flip to top of driveway Kettlebell swings x 10 6 rounds

Not in my area. If it's cheap, it's junk equipment.

Eggs are a super food. They contain every amino acid. They also contain healthy fats. Like anything else, it's about moderation. Sometimes for dinner I'll have five eggs with some green onion and one serving of cheese.
-
Actually, most used stuff is still priced too high. Most new equipment is still out of stock. I'm still waiting on the barbell ordered 10 weeks ago.
