I eat what I fancy as long as it is in my calorie goal. For instance today, I had chocolate fudge cake, a small piece of banoffee traybake, pizza for lunch and then more pizza for dinner (work bought pizza for everyone then then I took leftovers home). Still under my calorie goal for the day. That is helped however as I…

I don't pay attention to Fitbit, only MFP. If you have them synced if you go over your predetermined activity level (sedentary) then you will get a Fitbit adjustment to MFP which will increase your calories past your initial target. I set both MFP and Fitbit to sedentary and then get the additional calories. For example, I…

I recently upgraded from the Charge HR to the Blaze and I love it. The HR function for me is essential so I can see the tailored calorie burn (i know it isn't 100% accurate, but it is better than MFP's guesstimate). It doesn't feel large or clunky on ny wrist and I think it looks quite snazzy. Then again I am loving all…

I can pretty much lose weight up until 6th July, which is my first dress fitting for my wedding in August. I'll keep weight loss to a minimum from then, as I don't want to keep paying for alterations! I will be treating myself to a lovely shopping trip in mid-July. I'll need clothes in my new size for my honeymoon! ;)

Day off from exercise or logging? Exercise? I take off every Sunday. I work out around 12 hours a week across six days, so I deserve some slack :) Logging? Not really. I track everything I eat, but I will still eat 'bad' things if I want them. If I want half a large pizza Hut pizza, you bet I will chow down on that! Plus…

I have two NSVs. The first is that I just upgraded my Charge HR to the Fitbit Blaze and I'm in love. The connected GPS feature is fascinating! I love that I want to spend my money on fitness things (ie gymwear!) rather than anything else. The second is this photo. This dress has plagued me for two years. I bought it and it…

Depends what you want it for I guess, and while it will help you lose weight as they are low calorie it won't teach you good eating habits if you are substituting two meals a day. I do have a shake for breakfast during the week as it helps with my satiety, however I've gone with an actual protein shake and not something…

I kind of let weekends go with the flow. I exercise Saturday morning, so that gives me a 500ish buffer. If I want pizza, I'll eat it. Chocolate? Sure. What I have found though is that since I have overhauled my lifestyle that I don't want to indulge in a binge. I will want crappy foods, but they still end up in my calorie…

Weekdays, I get up at 6:30am but don't really start to eat anything until 10am, which is a protein shake. Having a shake means I can sip it often throughout the morning which helps my satiety. I got for a 30 minute walk at lunch and then eat at 1:30pm. I may have a small chocolate bar (<100 cals) at some point during the…

If you are a woman, you will find it extremely difficult to put on muscle to gain 'bulk'. Squat away. You want your *kitten* to look fabulous after you strip off all the excess fat through your calorie deficit.

I had the Charge HR and as of today, upgraded to the Blaze. I love it. It's such an amazing motivator for me to see the calorie burn. Motivates me to increase that number with a lunchtime walk, a gym workout after work etc.

After spin class today, my instructor came up to me worried that she was BORING me! Just shows that I have been going to Spin for so long that she is worrying that she isn't changing up things enough for ME! It's a moot point because I love her classes (Otherwise I wouldn't go) but to be in a position where an instructor…

I love Nutella. I actually can't remember the last time I had it. Not because I'm afraid I'll binge on it, but because I would rather use the calories for something else. That's kind of depressing to this former chocoholic!

I want The Blaze but only bought my Charge HR a couple of months ago. As there is only just over two months to my wedding, I can't justify the cost :( Hoping I'll get it as a wedding present...

I have the Charge HR and it is a massive motivator for me. I love the hard data of seeing the calories burned in a day, as I know it will be lower if I don't go to the gym. I don't want to see a lower calorie burn, so I get my stuff on and get to the gym! I'm looking to upgrade to the Blaze so I can choose the different…

23, and soon to be married in under three months! I finally dedicated myself to MFP in January and have lost 22 pounds to date. Another 15 pounds to the first mini-goal (140) and then probably another 7-14 from there, depending on what looks good in the end! I also don't know how to add people, so feel free to add me!

I have been reading this thread for a few weeks now- currently on page 307! I had to skip to the end to post my proudest NSV to date. That's me on the left. I have just completed a 10k obstacle course and had the time of my life! I overhauled my lifestyle on 16th Jan, logging in MFP everyday. A month later I joined a gym…

The worse thing was that he was a cover instructor, so the class was completely different. Normally it is weights with barbells and dumbells. It was just you and him and a crap ton of beatdown bodyweight exercises for an hour. Actually, now I think about it, the worse thing was that he was covering next week as well so I…

Just for ease, I track all activity and water in fitbit, and food in MFP.

Don't make it a struggle. Don't push yourself to have a massive deficit if it will only make you hungrier and eat more. For me, every time I decided to cut out something completely because it was bad for me (chocolate) i lasted a good couple of weeks then caved. Now, I have chocolate and every day and still lose weight. It…

I have a protein shake for breakfast so I can drink it throughout the whole morning. I leave for work at 7:30am and the few times I tried to eat before I left I was starting before midday. I don't eat lunch until half 1. Having my shake little and often throughout the morning helps keep my hunger at bay :)

Donkey kick push ups. I genuinely stood in my class and just stared at the instruction with a WTF?! expression.

Since I attend the gym for various classes, I book them a week in advance. I do the same mixture of classes each week. Knowing it is booked I know exactly what time I need to be at the gym. There is no 'i'll go to the gym in ten minutes' aa I HAVE to leave by a certain time to make the class. This is from someone who at…

I love my Fitbit, it's been a massive motivator for me and I love being able to see my calorie burns. Seeing the number in front of me makes me want to go harder to see a higher number- however it also makes me feel guilty when I skip a workout as well! Since buying a Fitbit (Charge Hr) i have gone from a half-hearted…

Like some other posters, I have been overweight my whole adult life, so I don't know what weight would look 'good' on me or where I would be comfortable. At 5'3 I have set my initial goal at 140, which is just into healthy BMI. I'll keep going from there and stop when my body is happy :)

A typical week for me: Mon - 1.5 mile lunchtime walk, Body Conditioning - Weights (55 mins), Bokwa (60 mins) Tues - 1.5 mile lunchtime walk, Pilates (60 mins), Spin (45 mins) Weds - 1.5 mile lunchtime walk, Upper Body and Abs (45 mins), Spin (45 mins) Thurs - 1.5 mile lunchtime walk, Pilates (60 mins) Fri - 1.5 mile…

I'm 5'3 and while we don't have the luxury of a slightly higher TDEE in comparison to a sedentary taller person, it would only make a hundred or so calorie difference. The real deal is tightening up your logging. A small deficit can be easily wiped out with meals you can't determine the calories for- often they contain a…

Well considering my first wedding dress fitting is on 6th July, I think I have an actual goal ;) Plus I have always stated losing a stone is a goal, but I'll be happy enough with a pound a week loss as I am realistic that it is difficult to upkeep such a large deficit as you get smaller and I am looking to prevent lean…
-
To lose 2 pounds a week (which you would need to aim for, if not slightly less) you need a deficit of 1000kcal a day. My deficits can be higher than 1000kcal some days and less on others, but I seem to average out around 900kcal under per day across the week. I work out Mon-Sat for 11 hours in total (12 classes). I also…

Well, I have lost just over half a stone last month so I would say it is possible but perhaps not advocated depending on how much you have to lose in total. A safe bet for not a lot of weight to lose is 0.5-1 pound a week, which would put you around 9/10 pounds down. Funnily enough I'm actually aiming for a stone loss as…
