  • When I visited family last weekend they actually cried out when I took off my coat saying how skinny I was! My sister, who isn't big in the slightest, was whinging she was now the fat one! My stepdads mum also didn't recognise me. That was a new one.
  • Your tummy looks great! We are actually similar heights and weights and unfortunately mine isn't anything like yours. I have a sad potato face going on. I think you look fab now, but I can't say much as 119 is actually my goal as well :)
  • Out of the two pairs of jeans I own, there was probably a good three inches gaping from the waist, which led to baggy bum syndrome. Unfortunately I have larger thighs, so I didn't think I would fit in the size down in skinny jeans. Was out in town anyway for a firework display and ended up scouting out some new jeans to…
  • I am 5'3 and started at 12 stone 10. I'm now 9 stone (ish). For the majority of my journey my goal has been set to 1200 due to lack of day to day activity. I 'earned' extra calories through exercise. In the beginning it was tough, but it got so much easier after a few days. My own willpower is what kept me going for the…

  • Got called a glamourpuss today! Also tiny :) I feel like I still have a little longer to go (around 7-9 pounds) but it's so nice to hear comments like this. Plus they sound so surprised when I say I still eat chocolate everyday after I pinched a cake leftover from another meeting and ate it in front of them!
  • I am 5'3, started at 178. Initially I wanted to get to the weight I was when I first met my OH, which was 141, as I thought I looked reasonably good. Got there, still felt flabby and decided to get to 130. Just hit that a couple of weeks ago, and things are still a bit flabby, so I have amended my goal to 119. I don't want…
  • I had nexplanon last April and started my journey I'm January. I've lost 45 pounds so I doubt it has caused weight gain. Sounds like your maintenance is around 2100- or you are eating more than you think (which is very easy to do).
  • I will join to help with the last few pounds! Height: 5'3 SW: 178 CW: 131 GW: 119 (8 and a half) Obviously I am in a healthy range now, but I'm losing for aesthetics now (along with working out).
  • Why pay for something you can do for free?
  • Let me preface this by saying I started my journey in January. It's started to get cold and today I wandered to my drawers to pull out a jumper. Ah man. NONE of them fit me anymore! They are all too baggy and not the baggy I can get away with! It makes me, and my bank account, extremely sad. Awesome at the same time, but…
  • I love spin! I only go once a week at the moment but used to go twice. I could go more but I don't like the instructors on the other days and prefer other classes. Such a great burn and I can feel my glutes working away.
  • My Fitbit seems to be quite accurate. Unfortunately I've got to the point in my spin classes that the number Fitbit gives me as a burn is significantly less than that on the bike (which is based on wattage, distance, resistance etc). It's probably out a little, but overall it seems pretty good. My TDEE is at about…
  • Since January this year (when I started) I have probably sunk close to £1000. - Gym membership @ £36.10 a month. - Gym clothes - approximately £300 - New smaller work/casual clothes - approximately £450 (I spent about £120 on bras and underwear!) Ugh. I don't want to think about it. When I see gym clothes I'm like "take my…
  • I'm not sure if he had realised he is doing it, but my husband compliments me a lot more. He actually stood by the door and just looked at me before saying I was distracting him by looking so beautiful! Damn he's cute.
  • I was lucky in this respect in that I got all my drinking days out of me pre-18. Once it was legal, it wasn't fun anymore! I prefer to waste my calories on chocolate nowadays, lol.
  • Following my holiday yesterday was the first day diving back into my usual gym routine. One hour of Body Pump, followed by one hour of Bokwa. Man, the fact I had three weeks off was noticeable! I still got through both classes and only had to stop once or twice for a few seconds. Today I woke up like an old lady. My legs…
  • Aw, thank you for the lovely words! That was me! Unfortunately no, he didn't, but they was more due to the fact that our reception didn't end until past midnight and we were both shattered! The fact he could have carried me over the threshold without issue is the true NSV :)
  • Over the past two and a half weeks I haven't been tracking as i thought I would give myself a break. It was my wedding/honeymoon after all! Now I'm back to tracking. I actually surpassed my goal for the wedding by almost 10 pounds, so to put on 4 pounds over my past 18 day indulgence is not bad at all! Back to the gym…
  • Thank you everyone! It went by in such a flash but I enjoyed every second. My wedding may have spurred on my journey, but it will continue indefinitely as it is a lifestyle change, not a short term solution!
  • I log daily in Libra. If I have a loss, then I will also record it in MFP, while syncs with my Fitbit.
  • Since I was 11, when my parents got divorced. Every weekend I would spend with my dad who wasn't the best cook, so I ate packaged foods. That became takeaways like mcdonalds and KFC, which led to a fattie teenager. It's only at 23 that I am finally at a healthy BMI since starting my journey in January of this year.
  • At work on Friday a couple of my colleagues came up to me and said I looked amazing and congratulated me on my weight loss. A few others later on in the day said I looked radiant! Never been called that before! It is such a massive boost that people can notice it even if I can't see too much of a difference. I know I am…
  • Over Easter when I spent the week with family I didn't give much thought to how I ate. Came back home a couple of pounds heavier and it wasn't until a week later that I was back to neutral, before the Easter binge. Two weeks of potential weight loss, gone! Tasted good though
  • I've actually had this the past couple of days, and since I have been going for so long I indulged myself for once. I actually stayed at maintenance or just below each day, so no real harm done. I actually had a slice of vanilla Cheesecake for breakfast. It was awesome.
  • Thank you both so much! It has been the cherry in top of what I have achieved already :)
  • I've had a few in the past week! Had my hen do (bachelorette) this past weekend and my friends from my old area haven't seen me in close to a year. They all called me skinny and were amazed at how much smaller I was. My fiancé was going out with his brother and the dad's from both sides as a second stag as they couldn't do…
  • My Fitbit seems about right for me, maybe overestimated slightly. In the beginning it was way off but it seems that it has 'learned' my body.
  • I don't eat them all the time, but they are there to be eaten much like when you log exercise and MFP provides exercise calories. I use them as a buffer. If I'm hungrier that day, I'll eat into them. If I'm not, it's just a buffer for another higher calorie day.
  • I am 5'3 and started at 178 in January. I have a desk job. I am now 138. I go for a 30 minute walk during lunchtime and i joined a gym. As i eat with my partner at night, I purposefully eat less for breakfast, lunch and mid afternoon snack (~500 calories total) so I can make a higher calorie dinner. While I haven't had…
  • Thank you both so much! I have MFP to majorly thank for finally knuckling down and getting this journey underway!
