I have lost 40 pounds as of today, and I am currently a size 10 UK/ 6 US. I can fit into a snug UK 8/ US 4 for tops but not bottoms.

Even holding off on shopping wouldn't have helped me as I didn't get on the wagon until January! Thr safety net was nice to have though, but it was so rewarding (although not for my alterations budget) to have it taken in so much! That's amazing! It's good that they allowed you to exchange your dress as well :)

I have already posted this elsewhere, but I'm SO freaking happy about it I want to share everywhere! Yesterday was my final dress fitting for my wedding in three weeks (today!). The left is November 2015, the right was yesterday. The dress had to be taken in by four inches at the waist!

Aw, that's amazing! I was thinking of using my wedding dress as a benchmark over the years. I know if it starts to get a bit snug then something needs to be done! I may pinch your idea though, that's a beautiful thing.

Thank you everyone! The wedding is three weeks tomorrow, on the 11th August :)

Initially started to lose weight in January for the impending wedding in August. My friend had signed up to the gym the year before and went off and on. She convinced me In February to go to a yoga class with her. I avoided the gym before I didn't want to be the fat, unfit one that couldn't do anything. The instant I…

Slightly scale related, but damn I'm happy about it! Slid into healthy BMI for the first time in my adult life. Now to keep going to get in the mid range!
-
I am 5'3. Started at 178 and I have literally today slid into healthy BMI. First time in my adult life at 23. CW: 140.6 My initial goal was 147, the weight I was when I met my fiancé. Then I changed to 140, to put me in healthy BMI. Now I'm not losing based on the scale, but how I look and feel. I'm not where I want to be…

It is a massive motivational tool for me. If i don't go to the gym I know my reported calorie burn will be down, so i rarely don't go. On the days I just can't go due to conflicts, I still feel bad! My Fitbit has definitely helped push me in the exercise area, to the point I go to the gym 6 times a week, with 4 of those…

My scale this morning had me at 10.2 stone with 30.5% body fat. I am 5'3. I'm still overweight and my body fat isn't fabulous but you can't really trust it. As long as the overall trend for body fat is going down then you know you are going in the right direction :)

It's your choice to overhaul your lifestyle so you are the one that will face the challenge when it comes to resisting treats. You shouldn't expect anyone else to support or adhere to your lifestyle. It's a case of just saying no. You eating those treats is not someone else's failure for bringing them into the house; it's…

5'3. Lost 35 pounds since mid-January 2016. First mini-goal was 147, which was around the weight I was when I first met my fiancé. Hit that last month, currently at just under 143. A healthy BMI starts at 140, so that is my next mini goal. I have no idea what my final goal is as truthfully o have never been a healthy…

Popped into a shop to get se t shirts for my fiancé for our honeymoon in August. As some of my clothes were getting a bit baggy, I scoured the sale rails for some bargains. Picked up two pairs of possible trousers for work but I wasn't optimistic they would fit as the shop (Topshop) sizing always felt like it ran small. I…

It's your holiday! Just take a passive view on portion sizes and try and make healthier options where you can, but this is a holiday to enjoy! Try to eat to maintenance, or at a small surplus so the damage isn't too bad. When you get home then just get right back on the wagon. On holiday, just remember to pull it behind…

During a 'rest day' at the gym during my Pilates class, I looked at myself in the mirror as I moved my arms and I am loving the definition that is appearing! All those evil triceps exercises are paying off

My body is weird. I stay the exact same weight for 3-5 days, have 2-3 days of small losses, then same weight for 3-5 days etc. I noticed it more and more as of late. Strange.

Had the implant in March 15. No weight gained. Started my journey in Jan 16. Lost 35 pounds to date. So... No effect on me. Just calories in, calories out.

Wore a new dress to work today that had been kept in the cupboard since purchase as it didn't fit. I could get into it around a month ago, but it was a tinsy bit snug. Now, it is slightly loose! Two people at work said I looked pretty in ny new dress today :)
-
Had my first wedding dress fitting today. Needs to be taken in by four inches!

Along with the above, I'm adding in water retention from sudden increase in exercise which is masking weight loss. Keep yourself hydrated and after a while your body will lose the excess water and hey presto! Your scale has moved.

I take one lazy day where I don't do anything. One other day is 'active' rest as I do a Pilates class that day.

Considering I just ate my way through a whole carton of strawberries (360g), and have done on prior days and still steadily losing, I'm in the 'deficit is king' camp. I'm loving the fact it is Wimbledon at the moment as well, as it means all the shops do strawberry offers. Yum yum.

I eat sweets everyday. I have a lovely chocolate drawer at work. It won't hinder your weight loss if you include them in your calorie goal. You could eat your whole goal in chocolate if you wanted and still lose weight. I wouldn't recommended it though for nutrition reasons :) Deficit is king for weight loss. What you eat…

I have lost 34 pounds, down from 178. Other than my face which has thinned out, I can't see it anywhere else. I know I have slimmed down as clothes are looser and I can fit in UK 10/US 6 for the first time I'm forever but I don't see it. I'm still not satisfied. I have around another 15 pounds to go (i think) but I'm…

You should really aim for at least the 1200. Admittedly I don't really hit it often but I have larger calorie days at some point in the week so it evens out. I'm 5'3 and I can actually exist on 1000 calories a day, with exercise. I don't get massively hungry and I don't binge. I do however know it isn't the healthiest to…

Nothing. I have chocolate every day. Every time there is a birthday at work, there is cake. If it's a milestone birthday, work buys in pizza. I'm partaking in that free delicious food! There are things I crave less though. Carbs in general such as chips, crisps etc. Chocolate I only eat in small quantities, whereas before…

My boobs have just deflated and got sad. I'm still technically the same cup size though as I went down a band size. Pretty sure what is left is actual tissue though, so I doubt I can lose much more!

Every time it is someone's birthday, they bring in cakes. Fresh cakes too, not leftover ones. My colleague today brought in two glorious cakes; red velvet and chocolate/caramel. I ran in there, grabbed my slice of red velvet heaven, logged the 400 calories and savoured every bite. Oh yeah. It was worth it. It helps that ny…

Someone at work noticed the weight loss today and said I looked good :)

I would give it a few sessions first. I was fine after two.
