We have a rack/weights at home, so I lift with my husband 3 days a week in the evenings, but I'm at the gym most mornings by 5:00am - that's when I do my cardio. As for motivation, honestly, it's just a matter of putting your feet on the floor and doing it. After a few years, it's become habit. Go early, get it done, come…

Oh, but they do make a dark chocolate Snickers bar! It's in the purple wrapper :) Although maybe only available in the full size bars, not fun size? But Twix bars...why in the world is there not a dark chocolate Twix bar yet?? There are dark chocolate versions of nearly every candy bar, but not Twix. It's sad.

Caramel Macchiato! Can't wait. My current fave is the Oatmeal cookie...for some reason, that flavor can be hard to find sometimes though.

You're going to see people of all shapes, sizes and ability levels in each of these classes. Most instructors will ask if it's your first time and will give advice/suggestions/modifications as needed. I would agree with the cycle suggestion - you can turn your resistance level up or down and no one will know but you. I…

I work out at 5am and don't eat for another 7-9 hours afterward. As long as I get my calories in, I don't feel the difference between eating after exercise and not.
-
ditto. Between water and seltzer water, I get a gallon in most days of the week. It helps to keep the urge to snack down.

I do SL 5x5 on MWF evenings and a spin class followed by a HIIT class on Tues, Thur mornings. I take the weekends off completely other than walking. I've often wondered if I'm limiting my strength gains by my Tues, Th activities, but since I've only been doing SL 5x5 for a few months, I'm still making progress. I assume…

I do StrongLifts 3x a week, but also spin and do HIIT 2x per week, plus several brisk walks. It hasn't hindered my progress at all so far.

I take a 30 min Les Mills GRIT class, which is touted to be HIIT. It's in the database and could be similar to what you describe. I'm 5'6" and 127 and MFP gives me 275 cals burned for the 30 min class.
-
MWF: lift heavy, plus accessory work 2 of those days T, TH: 45 min spin class, 30 min GRIT class F: Yoga Sat, Sun: active recovery days - 3-5 mile walk

I did very low carb (20g net carbs or less per day) about 2 years ago and lost nearly 20 pounds. Since then I've upped my carbs and have still been able to keep the weight off with no trouble. I guess I'm still low-carb by definition, usually getting around 75g per day most days. I find it a very satisfying way to eat and…

I used to belong to LA Fitness. Bodyworks is nearly identical to Les Mills BodyPump, which is in the database. I'm used to log Bootcamp as circuit training.

Club soda with vodka and lime. Sometimes I'll also add some muddled mint. If you want more flavor, use a flavored sparkling water.
-
I go with Kra Prow Gai Sub - it's super spicy, which helps you to slow down and not inhale your food. Ground chicken, basil, fresh chili, an over easy fried egg and fish sauce. I skip the rice and my estimation is that it comes in close to 300 for a lunch portion.
-
I choose to skip breakfast. If you're going to be hungry anyway, you might as well only be hungry in the morning. That gives you more calories for a more satisfying lunch and dinner. It takes a little getting used to, but there's also the mental adjustment of realizing that it's ok to be hungry sometimes. I also drink a…

I remember when I would/could eat something without thinking about it - without calculating the number of calories, without thinking first if it fit my numbers for the day/week. I miss that! But now I find that I enjoy food more - it's earned through brutal workouts, through choices of this over that. Because it's not…

I take a long walk on my rest days too. My other days are filled with heavy lifting and rigorous cardio, so taking a long walk feels like rest!
-
Add me to the 5am workout group. I started doing it years ago because it was the only time I had - small kids, full time job, blah blah blah. At 5am, I could get my workout in and be home and ready for work before the rest of my house was even awake. Now, it's become habit. I prefer going and getting my workout out of the…

I weigh and log every ingredient

I'm with you...although if it were cheap wine, I'd probably easily be able to only do one glass. I have reached the point where if I'm going to drink my calories, I'm going to make it well-worth it with good wine. But then I have trouble sticking with only one glass. The struggle is real, for sure.
-
You'll often find me under a blanket on the couch, year-round. We keep our house cool!
-
my exercise calories are for wine! But I still try to limit my wine to weekends
-
I do HIIT 2x per week for 30 min. It's brutal. Even after a year, it's still brutal. But I have found that it makes my other workouts easier (spinning, running, etc)
-
I will often grab a cup of something hot - hot tea, hot lemon water, decaf coffee. It takes a bit of time to sip on and still helps to "fill" the void.
-
We have a power rack at home and do the StrongLifts program together.
-
Yes! This is what I do too. I'll escape on the weekends and get a 5 mile walk in with a good audiobook.
-
I agree with the classes - loud music and a group of people is much more motivating to me than working out by myself. Plus, there's an end time...so once I walk in, I know I'm committed to an hour (or 30 min or whatever) and can't just leave because I feel like it. I go super-early in the morning, so there are usually only…

I only do mine fasted daily b/c it's hard enough to get to the gym at 5am...getting up earlier to eat? No way.

*Following* I bought mine during a black friday sale on Amazon TWO YEARS AGO. And it's still sitting in my pantry...in the box. :s

I like the Isopure Zero powders - it's a very fine textured powder that can be mixed into anything...milk, yogurt, smoothies, etc. You might also consider visiting your local smoothie shop - they often have a section of protein powder packets for sale. You can try a couple different kinds without committing to an entire…
