After reading several articles, this makes sense to me- what I've seen suggested is to do about 12-16 weeks cal. deficit and then go up to maintenance calories for 7-10 days- and then return to deficit. Triple Zero Greek yogurt is good with any berries- all berries are low carb/low sugar compared to other fruits-maybe low sugar/carb protein shakes? I like "Orgain organic vanilla plant protein powder"- can mix with berries/yogurt too-

This is a hard question to answer if you're not logging in your daily calories. You won't lose without a calorie deficit- a 5 pound gain seems to indicate excess calories. Your disappointment in your weight gain is even more reason to be more vigilant about logging calories.
