Any folks losing weight who can't really get much exercise?
Just started back on MFP (5 days ago) after gaining 32 lbs. I have always loved walking for my exercise (especially in this beautiful spring weather here in New England!) However, I just found out yesterday that I'd have to wear a walking boot for 4-6 weeks because of an injured achilles tendon- no walking, bike riding, or…

App for daily macro percentages?
Hello all, I have been off this site for a while and noticed that an app that I had installed onto my food diary page is now gone. Does anyone know how to find the Under Armor app that shows the percentages of macronutrients we eat daily? It was a pie chart that appeared towards the bottom of the food diary page- someone…

Anybody tried snow shoeing?
Winter is moving in here in New England- I love walking wooded trails in a local state park but snow is moving in. So- my sister and I are thinking about getting snow shoes so we can continue to walk the trails. Any snow shoeing enthusiasts out there? I normally walk around 3 miles, but I'm thinking this would be much…

Anybody using a Bellicon Rebounder? Or any rebounder?
Just took my Bellicon rebounder back out (previously had a cheap rebounder but this one is the bomb!) Just wondered if anyone else uses rebounding for exercise. Was walking faithfully, but it's been raining for 3 days so guess I'll be jumping!

Anybody here use nordic walking poles?
Hey folks- I am an avid walker (I just love getting outside and normally walk trails in a local state park) and was thinking about getting some walking poles- does anybody use them? If so, are they difficult to use and would you recommend them? To me, they look sort of awkward, but I would like to get more upper body…

Anybody using the Map My Walk App?
Started using the Map My Walk app after I figured out that my pedometer is not all that accurate- anybody using this or other GPS apps on phone for walking? Have you found it to be accurate? I always walk trails in a local state park so can't really drive it to see how accurate the app is.

Why am I so cold? Does eating a calorie deficit make anyone else feel cold?
Hey all- I've lost 15 pounds (from a total goal of 40). I'm the one who always complained of being hot- fans on- windows open, etc. But suddenly, it seems like I'm always cold! I eat a super healthy whole food diet so I'm quite sure I'm getting all my nutrients. Anybody else cold because of sustained calorie deficit? Geez,…

"Nordic Track FreeStride Trainer FS5i?" Do you like it?
I'm thinking about investing in a good home machine- I like ellipticals/ treadmills but then I saw the Nordic Track Free Stride and thought it looked really interesting and more versatile. Anybody using one of these? Comments on it?

I found some healthy, delicious low cal bread!
This bread is delicious, clean, and good fiber- "Dave's Killer Bread- thin sliced" 60 calories and seriously good! Granted the slices are smaller but that's fine with me if I can eat some good bread. They make one with 70 cals as well- definitely worth checking out if they sell it in your area.

How many Calories are you eating?
According to MFP I should be eating 1460 calories a day (1 lb per week loss) I cut it to an even 1400- this is quite doable. Tried to cut to 1200- nope, not gonna happen :o I also focus on getting all my fiber grams per day which helps- So wondering what you folks are eating for calories

What's your lower cal sweet treat?
Currently mine is Honey Maid Chocolate Graham crackers- 2 sheets 130 calories! Not bad and they are really chocolatey! Sometimes have greek yogurt with berries and a bit of granola or 72% dark chocolate- but always looking for new ideas- I like a little sweet treat at night

Labor Day Eating extravaganza! Oh boy....
Had dinner with friends last night and planned on completely blowing the day as I said goodbye to summer here in New England- so I had 2 lobsters, bread, wine, dessert, etc.- my day came in at about 2000 calories! But I've been super diligent for 4 weeks- anyway, after eating all this, my stomach felt so awful! Like a big…

Lighten up your meatloaf!
Ok-so I LOVE good meatloaf but it's not the healthiest thing for us to eat- so now I do this.... I make a standard meatloaf with a mix 1/2 lean ground beef and 1/2 ground turkey then I add grated carrots, zucchini, mushrooms, onions, peppers (and quite a lot)-this cuts down calories-provides some fiber-stretches amount of…

Kick Overnight Oatmeal up a notch with more fiber!
I love overnight oatmeal but wanted to add even more fiber- (research says that more fiber really helps with weight loss and overall health) Anyway, I started mixing half rolled oats with half "Ezekiel Sprouted whole grain cereal" (this cereal is super nutritious-taste like Grapenuts) Anyway- to make this overnight oatmeal…

Subtracting fiber grams from total net carbs?
Does anyone subtract fiber grams from total net carbs? At one time (not now) I followed the Atkins diet and was told to do this- I eat pretty high fiber so it does make a difference in carb grams per day! OK- I just read that this is right- BUT only for "insoluble" fiber because it does not break down the same way as…
