According to MFP I should be eating 1460 calories a day (1 lb per week loss) I cut it to an even 1400- this is quite doable. Tried to cut to 1200- nope, not gonna happen
I also focus on getting all my fiber grams per day which helps-
So wondering what you folks are eating for calories

I have it set at 1200, but depending on if I have a opportunity to eat it usually goes over or way under. I am very physically active.12

I start with 1460 and then eat back 50-75% of my exercise calories, so I wind up eating 1400-1800 daily
I'm set to lose 1 pounds a week and I'm doing that pretty consistently since I started at the beginning of June6 -
I'm currently maintaining a 1200 (or slightly below) calorie intake. This is quite easy for me as I stack up on vegetables (300-500g), that makes my stomach feel physically very, very full. Late at nights I become quite hungry, but by keeping myself busy (studies) it's not too difficult to overcome. I will increase the calorie intake once I start doing exercises, but due to a knee injury I would like to lose a few kg's before doing so, just to relief the strain.8

I'm currently taking a diet break, but when I was losing as a 5'2", 45yo female 150lb, I managed to lose 1.5lb week before last eating 2500-3000 Calories a day. But my activity level is anything but average, I burn anything from 1000-2000 Active Calories (that the Garmin gives me which is far more conservative than the Fitbit) and occasionally a little more (half marathon alone gives me 1600)5 -
I'm currently maintaining on net 1900 cals (5ft5, 136lbs female)3

1290 is what MFP gave me as a goal...I eat back 50% - 75% of my exercise calories....most days net between 1350 - 1500 calories.

I'm 5'10", 182 lbs, sedentary, and set to lose 1 lb/wk, which means MFP set me at 1400+ cals per day. I log my exercise cals and usually (but not always) eat them. I'm losing as expected.0

Male, 31, 6'0", 253 lbs, 1400 calories, 70C/70F/123P
Don't eat back exercise calories
averaging about 1.5 to 2 lbs per week. 22 pounds in the last 12 weeks.7 -
My base is 1380, but apart from purposeful exercise, I'm pretty sedentary. Thing is, I've been shooting for at least 2 hours walking every day (or an hour on the fitness glider, or some combination) plus a full-body light dumbbell workout three times a week that takes over an hour. So, MFP routinely tells me I'm burning anywhere from about 650 to 1000 calories/day. I eat back about half of those.
So, in general, I'm probably having 1700-1800/day and losing anywhere from 0.6 to 1.8/week
Not bad for Female, 45, 5'3" currently 174.6 lbs, down from a high of 25412 -

MFP gave me 1590 if I want to lose 1lb per week. I'm 5'4", starting weight was 190lbs and now at 177lbs.3

I know. I just raised it to 1400 from 1250 this week though. I mainly track for a low number because I don't trust the numbers provided by the app for some stuff. I'm probably actually eating about 1500-1600.3 -
female, 5'2 and I eat 1100 or a little less.4

Still far too low, presumably you're trying to lose muscle by doing this?9 -
I eat around 2000 calories a day. A bit more on the days I exercise and less on rest days. My focus is on developing a long term way of eating. I've lost around 90 pounds in the last 15 months but I'm not in a hurry. This will be the third time I have lost more than 100 pounds. No more short term sacrifices that only produce short term results.11
