Hello, and welcome! I am so sorry to hear about your troubles. If you look at success stories, under the threads like "what no one told you about losing weight" and "unexpected thinks about weightloss" you will find you are not alone in the mind not catching up to the body thing, nor the fact that no one will say anything…

The most evil and amazing tasting thing: manicotti with alfredo sauce instead if marinara. So much cheese. So many calories. My mom used to order it at Italian restaurants. She is better at not indulging these days. But, man, a bite of that was so, so glorious.

All above, plus sweet peas, soba noodles, green beans, nutritional yeast, tempeh, seitian, tofu, flax seeds, and wheatgerm.

The "healthy weight" range for a female who is 5'4" is 110 to 144 lbs. The thing to look at is your body mass index (bmi) There are many charts and calculators online. :)

Any kind of poultry- I was pecetarian for years and years, now sometimes eat beef and pork. But chicken or turkey cooking makes me sick (have actually been on the floor, in the bathroom, like I had food poisoning from it... Just so bad) Collard greens. Eating kale does, in fact resemble having a spider in your mouth (or,…

Went to the doctor, he was so pleased! Weight loss and quitting the smokes impressed him. My lipid panel looks loads better! Still some work to do, but he was delighted with my progress!

The little b that could. I also love both tea and crumpets.

I knew clothes were not fitting, but was sort of blind to exactly how much weight I had put on (combination of leaving vegetarian lifestyle and taking medications) I was never out of healthy bmi before... When I got on the doctors scale, it was way more than I thought... And way more than I thought was okay. Then,…

You look super fit... I have heard from the recomp thread that losing fat while gaining muscle means that the scale progress is not fast, but the inches drop away... I am thinking about switching to maintenance and taking up strength training so I can get results perhaps similar to yours.

A photographer I didn't know snapped a picture of me at my gallery reception, so didn't run it by me before putting on social media. First of all, he picked my photo (it was a group show, and I don't even know if he knew I was a participating artist) second of all, I liked it so much it is my new profile pic here (or,…

Awsome! Did you use the "advanced" trail? I have never tried that one, the regular one used to be hard (ish) when I was not overweight... New goals...

I agree with prelogging and especially logging when you are over... If I stopped logging when I went over, I would sabotage myself so that I would get more treats (I am kind of simple in that epicurian way) Sometimes I slow my weight loss down, just so I don't fall completely off the wagon. It buys me enough calories to…

I was a pescetarian for 15 years. Now I will occasionally eat meat, but I still eat a lot of tofu (mostly because I learned to use it like carbs, but it is full of protein) There are many things that I just prefer the veg version, and I tend to not eat meat at restaurants, etc. Only reason I gave the up on it is so as to…

So, I am also an introvert. Ordinarily, I am very standoffish with socail media. My FB and IG acounts are really professional things I maintain for recognition (of my work, and of myself) , information (what socail things I have to attend to remain relevent) and networking. I have found MPF to be different. I have friends…

Saag paneer onon cheese pizza. An entire pound of brie with apples and toamy Cheddar and sour cream chips dipped in cream cheese The ever popular fries dipped in frosty I would eat these "as a snack" and then usually down some whole milk with any of these things. Dairy is my undoing.

I gained a lot of weight from various meds (but mostly lifestyle choices) I am on Zoloft, and Wellbutrian. They had to lower the dose of Zoloft as I lost weight, because I was sleeping 14 hours a day. So now on lower Zoloft and the same Wellbutrian (I have never liked meds, except Wellbutrian, btw. Side effects scare me…

This. Plus, if you like shopping, you have that to look forward to. I love goodwill and charity shops though. So I actually enjoy finding things that fit me now that I can donate later. I have a propensity for dresses, which tend to work for me at a greater range of weight. I do love the idea of "goal clothes," which is…

Mental health is sooo important. If you are willing, you might want to at least talk to a psychiatrist. I was against meds for a long, long time, and kick myself now for all the needless suffering, wasted time and energy when getting out of bed was all I could realistically be expected to do, and hospitalization. These…
