I'm switching to every other day for this, i.e. my regular lifting days. Between swimming and lifting, doing this every day is too much. I don't want to overtrain.

I'm going to start doing this every other day, with my regular lifting. I can't lift three times a week, swim five times a week, and plank everyday. Maybe I'm too old.
-
Got half an hour of practice in today; my crawl stroke seems to have recovered from the kickboard fiasco, and my whipkick has gotten better, as has coordinating arms with dolphin kick for butterfly. But the only two things I can keep track of arms and legs for entire laps, are still crawl and backstroke. I was glad…

Hey, there's plenty of value in lifting lighter weights! Plus, you're not sitting on the couch.
-
If you lift heavy enough, they kinda do

Miriam, soo sad about the wee kitten, and also glad he had you pulling for him until the end. Janetr, looking great! Cute top! A big hello to everyone else! I'm studying for a very exciting job interview on Tuesday; they're talking to me even though I have no direct experience in their specific technology, so the…

Orrr not. I swam and lifted today; stick a fork in me!

Day 6: Rest day. Thank goodness; I swam and lifted today. Which tends more to be followed by going to bed early, than planking.
-
I made it today; I walked (carefully) for 18 minutes.

Dang, fishgutzy, I hope you feel better forthwith! New instructor today; my old instructor got a promotion. I will miss her, but it's hard to begrudge her that acknowledgment of her awesomeness. The new instructor isn't bad; I feel like what she had us doing with the kickboards, helped my stroke rather than ruining…

Happy Sunday, Ladies! I'm trying to keep up. Prepping for job interviews, doing my existing work, keeping my garden watered while we have August heat in June, swimming, lifting, and walking, are about all I can handle right now...but I'm skimming through your posts each day, glad to have you in my world, however…

Day 5: still sore, still only 60 seconds. That was last night. Next attempt to hit 75 seconds, this evening.
-
Day 5 done. I was still sore from lifting yesterday
-
No walking for me today. My hip is angry. I did swim for an hour, mostly butterfly, because, again, hip...
-
I swim indoors. I'm a redhead; I do outdoor stuff in sleeves and a hat.
-
Today I started putting arms and kicks together for butterfly stroke. I believe it's going to work!

Happy Saturday!

Day 4: Did 60 seconds yesterday but was happy to get 35 today, after a hard day at the gym.
-
Day 4: Only made it 65 seconds today, after a hard leg day at the gym. Will go for the full 75 tomorrow, and hopefully 90 the next day.

I walked into the gym and people's jaws were dropping at how lean I looked. I haven't lost weight in a month, but obviously recomp is happening.

Day 3 60 seconds.

Day 3: 60 seconds.

Thanks! I limped half a mile in 14 minutes. It was pretty painful...but I tried. Yay me.
-
Busy and stressful day. I'm afraid I might not get my walk in! Wish me luck for after 7:00 p.m. tonight.

I hear that! My goal weight is in the 180s somewhere, TBD. I know women starting out at 180, looking to get to like 110. Yah I think my left thigh weighs that much.
-
Hey I'm 5'11". Nice to "meet" you all.

To join, you just say you're joining, and then you do the walking and post it here. To find more, look here: community.myfitnesspal.com/en/categories/challenges

Day 2: 54 seconds. Hey, I increased by four seconds, after Butt Day at the gym.
