Disappointed. I thought this thread was gonna be about this kind of mole...

What an amazing transformation, congrats! :)

Look online for good sports bras... they do exist for us larger chested gals! I’m a runner and I like the Freya brand underwired and then wear another soft stretchy sports bra on top for extra compression and support. Also, in my opinion running with correct form can help minimize bounce so you might want to look up “chi…

What can I say... Nature is my gym! :)

46 and a half here but once I started working out and taking care of myself I feel at least 10 years younger... I’m a big believer that it’s never too late to improve yourself! :)

For me it’s running up and down hills, lots and lots of hills... trail running has given me strong legs!

I’m not a foodie but my best friend is just starting to experiment with cooking Japanese dishes so I’ve been able to try some. He’s made: Hamburg steak and Kabocha squash Omurice Japanese curry and rice What I want to try to make is “coffee jelly” but there’s so many different recipes for it I haven’t picked one to try…

Could be because they keep changing their point system/plan every few years. Some people find success with whatever the current plan is at the time and then they go and switch it and the newest version might not work for them. But I’ve never used WW so I can’t say for sure, just what I’ve heard others say their experience…

Oh I had forgotten I tried slim fast shakes! They just tasted awful and never satisfied my hunger :|
-
Way to go, that is fantastic! :)

That diet cycles around again every few years, I usually see it advertised on magazines :s

That sounds like fun!

I wanted to give another perspective on the subject of BMI, not just physical appearance. When I was BMI 30 I had health issues that included liver pain which turned out to be the beginnings of Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease. My liver enzymes were in the high 50’s, that’s what made me get my act together and finally…

Awesome! Congrats! :)

Noticeable change, good job! :) I always wish I’d taken more “before” pics but I only have a handful to look back at now that I’m in maintenance.

Years ago before understanding CICO and counting calories I tried water fasting. I did it for 3 days straight (ugh!) and felt just awful afterwards. To break the fast I ate some pineapple and it gave me a very strange mouth/throat feel, like puckered but almost painful. I am not allergic to pineapple but it kinda felt like…

The great majority of the time I look forward to exercising and thoroughly enjoy it, but on the rare occasions I’m not really feeling it then I just take a rest day. Nothing wrong with an extra rest day as long as it’s only occasional and doesn’t become the norm.

Lots of trial and error in the beginning when I used the mfp calculations, I found out pretty fast their counts are way off! I don’t know why the estimates are so off for other trackers either but I now only use the free iRunner app for walking, running and hiking and the calorie burn has been spot on for me. I ALWAYS eat…

One strategy I used was when I started analyzing my own eating habits and realized I was snacking a lot when I watched TV (especially at night) so I made it a priority to watch less or none at all and do other activities instead. It really helped reduce my mindless snacking habit. Even watching videos online or surfing the…

How long have you been a member of MFP? - Became a member in 2012 at the suggestion of a coworker. After I met my goal I took a 2 year break from the site. I rejoined again in 2016 when I had a change in activity at my job and regained 18 lbs. Are you at your Goal Weight? - Yes! I’m currently maintaining within 5 lbs of my…

Thanks! :)

I don’t wear them very often but this is definitely my favorite pair of tights to dress up the mom bod legs...

This thread rocks with beautiful strong moms all around! <3 <3 <3 Maintaining my weightloss and fitness as a mom in middle age has been challenging but so rewarding!

If you treat your body in this horrible way you risk also suffering negative mental repercussions in addition to the possibly permanent or fatal physical side effects. It’s been studied, look up The Minnesota Starvation Experiment. The volunteers that were able to complete the experiment developed an obsession with food…

I know the feeling well! Just my own experience... I’m prone to episodes of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) and always carry a few hard candies (like Werthers) with me when I go for hikes or runs just in case, they’ve saved me quite a few times! Also, I tried keto (practically no carb diet) a few years ago out of curiosity…

The two myths that I personally had to overcome to reach my goal weight were: “That you have to suffer to lose weight.” This includes fasting for days, consuming yucky flavored concoctions, only eating foods you don’t enjoy, depriving yourself of enjoying food on special occasions or holidays, exercising for hours in ways…
