Using the MFP exercise database and my average speed my calorie burn comes out as 397 so I'd say that endomondo has grossly overestimated my calorie burn.

Thank you... I did think 606 was quite high and at the same time that 221 was quite low... I'm 163 lbs so will calculae using 60 calories per mile as I was walking quite fast without stopping.

I'm on week 3 day 2... I couldn't do week 1 day 1 without stopping short of the 60 seconds run... I can now do the 3 min run... Don't give up, each week I think there's no way I can do next week's intevals and yet so far I've managed... It's amazing how quick you improve... And I'm terribly unfit lol

I know it's not about the AT but have a look at Carrot Quinn's blog as well as her book... It's about her Pacific Crest Trail thru hike and is brilliant... I have just finished it... Would love to do a thru hike one day but like in the UK.

70 kg (155 lbs). Have for another 5 kg (11lbs) to go... Would like to get there by the end of May and then reassed how I feel... Might go for another 5 kg but more interested in toning what's there.

Well done! You've really gone for it! I haven't done any running before but think that this will be a good way to start... I can happily walk 5 km in a go so the start of couch to 5 shouldn't be to bad. I know with my work schedule, my yoga class and a 10 yr old's social life I'll only be able to get out and run 3-4 times…

Good advise thank you... I do play it by ear already a bit... I'm fairly good at listening to my body... If I feel hungry I'll eat lol.. I'm doing this to be healthier and have no intention of starving myself... It's more of a lifestyle change for me than a bikini body lol... Thanks for the advise... I want to start couch…
