Don't think of it as you have 35 pounds to lose and you "have" to get started..and you can't..It makes it seem you're focusing on the destination and not the journey. Each journey is one step at a time ( I know BIG cliche' ..but true) Just start with tomorrow (meaning today) Set a goal jus for today..you're not trying to…

Bacon! Love me some bacon..not anywhere near the calories one would think! A small thing, but Cream in my coffee..a cup o joe goes from almosy no calories( maybe 2 for a cup of black coffee) to 30 or more calories a cup , depending on the lil bit of cream you add.

Creamy..I eat plenty of peanuts and almonds..so, when it comes to the butta..make it creamy!

I drink black coffee. I can drink it with cream & sugar..I prefer just cream..but I also can drink it black. I decided I'm not wasting 30 calories on a cup of coffee w/cream. Black for now

I step on the scale every morning...I log Monday mornings as my "official" weight... Weight fluctuates..quite a bit really. I recommend weighing yourself daily (if you're trying to lose weight) It educates you on how your body responds to your diet & exercise program. Here's my last week of weighing : Wed Oct 12th 224.2…

I've met fat vegans and there's that guy who only eats Big Macs and is a size 0 or whatever. Yes, CICO matters for the biology but CICO doesn't actually do much for the psychology of weight loss. Things like Weight Watchers, keto, paleo, etc. do tap into that psychology part.[/quote] I disagree 100%. YOU and YOU alone are…

If you are going to eat a steak, or chicken or whatever, find the calories for how you prepare it. Grilled chicken breast, baked chicken breast, raw chicken breast , calories will vary ..same with steak, broiled, fried, grilled, raw, etc.. at least that's my thought..

Anyone may add me as well...I started on here in March..and have logged on everyday. I have dropped 80+ pounds since March 1st. I'll be happy to encourage, support or just offer up general nonsense from time to time..

You had me at "butt"..

I have been on here since March..everyday..and have lost over 80 pounds! That's either committed or crazy! If you need some support..encouragement..laughs..or just some friends who are active..anyone can add me too!

I have noticed Bacon as between 40-50 calories per slice..almost anywhere you look. Don't make it complicated. that's 120-150 calories for three slices..and it's most likely just as accurate as you weighing raw bacon, weighing the grease that was fried off, weighing the fried or baked bacon, ie..finished product, etc.

If you can't stay on track..get off of it. Change your track..try a new one..change up your food, your exercise, make it new..something to look forward to.. Just enjoy the journey you're on. It may seem like you won't get to your destination, but you will. Plus, if you slow down and enjoy the journey, you'll love the…

Don't sweat the small stuff..You got it going on! It starts upstairs..stay strong mentally and realize you're gonna have a few swings..but that's life.. Just keep your goal in mind, and ENJOY the journey you're on. Don't fret over the destination or you'll focus and stop enjoying the journey, which causes people to quit.…

I experiment : Eight O'clock Bean, Duncan Donuts, Cameron's Giavalia (which I really like) and I grind my own. I just bought some Krispy Kreme "Rich" so..we'll see how that is. Hills Brothers Columbian (grind your own is actually pretty good) I am one of those fortunate people..I can drink coffee with cream & sugar, just…

You are doing GREAT! This is natural...Just remember, this is a lifestyle change. Life gives you ups and downs and is constantly changing. Adjust you as well. Know you're going to have some changes. I have run into the same thing. I started on March 1st. I am in my 7th month. Things are different. I have slowed…

In order to give you good sound advice, it would help to know what weight you started at and your stats. Age..Height..Weight..Physical activity level. You certainly can go on 900 calories for a short time (depending on your stats and gender) Long term, this would not be recommended or healthy. Other than that, short term…

Using the scale can surely be an eye opener..BUT my question to you is..HOW could you not have some idea how much PB you were eating? Most PB jars are 16 oz or 18 oz and 189.24 Grams = 6.67524456 Ounces or almost 1/2 a jar? or 1/3 + of a jar? How could you not notice that..even w/o a scale? I have an 18 oz jar in my…
