  • I am going to the beach in 18 weeks. I want to feel strong and healthy and actually enjoy my vacation. The last time I went I got so tired walking through the sand from the hotel to the water I just stayed at the pool. I want to spend my whole time in the sand!
  • I don't post often, but I do lurk around and read the great posts here. This group has given me great information and ideas to use on my journey. Y'all have also been so encouraging and generous with sharing your stories and experiences. Thank you all for everything you have contributed!
  • My 11 year old daughter was able to put her arms all the way around my waist to hug me.
  • Maybe you can reframe how you look at your calorie goal a little differently. It is just a guide to help you meet your goals. Do you look at your bank account with the same "this account isn't going to tell me how many dollars I can spend!"? I sure hope not. Your calorie budget is the same way. It lets you know what you've…
  • I will have to log and track for the rest of my life. I have gained and lost and gained and lost so many times I know I can't do it just on intuition.
  • @conniewilkins56 thank you for chiming in!
  • I'm not sure where to post this because I feel sure it has probably been asked and discussed before, but when I tried to search for it, nothing came up. • Thank you all for the kind welcome! @tempe987 there are lots of us Mrs. Smiths! It's a fun club! @NovusDies my logging takes me about 15 minutes total per day. I'm a creature of habit and have a lot of the same foods and meals pretty regularly. I also feel like logging is what I have to do to live a healthier life, so…
  • Hi! I have posted on the general forum a couple of times, and members here have invited me to join y'all! Thanks! I have always struggled with my weight. Most recently, in December 2019, I found myself weighing 435lbs. I was half-heartedly watching what I was eating after the first of the year and lost 14lbs. I got serious…
  • In December, I weighed in at 435 lbs. I started cutting back what I was eating some and had lost 14lbs by March. I got serious when we started sheltering in place by counting my calories and walking, and I have since lost 73.6lbs. I made a commitment to log everything I eat. No matter what, I put it in my diary. When I…
  • Hi! In December 2019, I could not safely have a surgery that I desperately need because it was unsafe to put me under anesthesia. I weighed 435 lbs. I started cutting back some, and by March had lost 15lbs. When Covid hit, I got serious, because frankly, I was scared of dying. As of this morning, I have lost 69lbs. Whether…
