Strong Lifts 5 x 5. Not sure if there is a book but there is an app and lots of information on internet. WONDERFUL beginners program. Start with bar and move up 5 lbs. each workout. This is a 3 day per week program and I love it. I'm in week 4 and seeing great results.

Try out Strong Lifts 5 x 5. In my fourth week and it is a great starter program. You increase 5 lbs. each workout and has really helped with familiarizing myself with weights and becoming confident in the gym.

I try to find healthy replacements for my sweet cravings as once I get started on the chocolate I cannot stop. I have recently found Halo Top ice cream has satisfied this craving for very low calorie count. Also protein bars are filling and satisfy this. The struggle is real!!!! I keep committing and recommitting to this…

Sugar snap peas, grape tomatoes, hard boiled eggs, string cheese, strawberries, banana, grapes. Frozen already cooked grilled chicken pieces. Just throw in skillet with some veggies, coconut oil and honey and makes for quick, healthy meal.

Meal planning and also just eating smaller portion sizes of those treats. Don't neglect yourself just make sure you have a calorie deficit.

I am very public about my workouts and my healthy lifestyle. Not to the annoying point but just to help keep myself motivated and accountable. I have even went so far as to have a co-worker hold my chocolates hostage only allowing me to get them upon request. Let me tell you, I think twice if I have to go to her desk to…

On the days I don't feel like it, I put my headphones in and walk outside or on treadmill. Always glad I made that choice even if it was to clear my head for the day and not get a full body workout.

So wonderful to see/hear so many share their faith and answer questions so delicately. Faith is a hard thing to describe especially when coupled with heartbreaking, unexplainable experiences. It looks like this thread is successfully leading others to Christ or at least making them think about their relationship with him.…

Find a friend to walk and distress with. You will walk a mile before you know it or pop in some earbuds and rock out on a walk enjoying the scenery. I am also a lover of fitness classes (Zumba, Cardio, Strength), anything that gets me moving and is fun. These classes come with an added bonus of accountability as your new…

[ nope not new to any of this. just seeing how this is different than just eating in a deficit and working out and having a community here on MFP.[/quote] Different things work for different people. Chill out there!

WOOOW!!!! How inspiring. Keep up the awesome work.

More info please as I haven't heard of it either.

Throw it out and enjoy the no scale victories. Measurements are so much more accurate of your successes!

What a cutie!

Dang girl, how do you have such tiny hips now????

Enjoyed running my first 10 mile race this weekend. Blaze gave me splits each mile then an overview of each mile once completed. So awesome to have motivation like this available at our fingertips.

Sounds confusing. I'm sure there is an easier fix as these trackers are to help us not make us work harder. I just eat my 1200-1400 calories for the day and move. Any exercise helps with that deficit. Love watching the activity from my tracker but I don't utilize this option to keep track of deficit so not very helpful…

WOW! Great inspiration. Love the new haircut on you.

Yes to ALL of this. The positive effects of this journey have surely outweighed any craving.

Swimming, row machine and cycling are good too. Just watched an Extreme Home Makeover edition where a man lost 250 lbs. in one year with two knees that needed surgery and were only hanging on by a thread. Great motivator for when injuries try to get the best of us. Good luck on your journey!

2 days to lose 3 lbs. Dang girl!

I am in total agreement with you. One bite and I can't stop.

"Maybe the journey isn't so much about becoming anything. Maybe it's about unbecoming everything that isn't really you, so you can be who you were meant to be in the first place." "I prefer to earn it. It makes me appreciate it more."
