I know I had shared on this thread before but since it’s active again felt like updating. I’ve still had zero negative side effects on my third Mirena. I got Mirena to treat endometriosis in my 20s and I’m almost 40 now. I hit maintenance this week and Mirena in no way affected my ability to do so. I also have Hashimoto’s…

Today was lower body muscle isolations to work on correcting some imbalances I’m struggling with

It took me two years to lose the 30lb I came to this site for. It took so long because - 1. I wanted to make slow gradual changes I knew I could sustain. Having lost over 80lb before and gaining some back I really wanted to learn from that. 2. I started lifting and gained some muscle along the way completing two bulk…

I was only running a deficit of 200-250 cals at the end so I added it all. I hit goal a little faster than expected due to health issues so I was also starving when I started being able to eat regular again so I felt like I needed it all. I expected to gain a few lbs initially. I’m just not sure how long I wait before…

I found a protein powder with a woman’s multi vitamin on Amazon for $14. My sister in law who is a RD looked over the label when she visited and thought it looked like a good product for me needs.

The lifestyle is what caused me to gain half back after maintaining nearly 3yr. I moved in with my now husband who is a private chef so I started eating more having nice big meals every night with him. I also switched jobs at the same time. I went from being an administrator at a summer camp where I commuted 10min and…

I just sent you a friend request. I lost just over 80lb years ago when my son was little and maintained for 3 years before gaining half back, and that’s when I found this site.

I’m at goal weight and a healthy BMI again (lost around 30lb to get here and 80lb my first time around) I have never been keto

I’d like to add mine look nothing like the images posted above. The allergic hives I get resemble poison oak more than welts.

I have a wheat germ allergy so yes absolutely. When exposed to wheat of any kind (grain and grass) I will break out in hives that itch. When I scratch them they turn to blisters than burn. It’s awful. My allergy was confirmed with a quick prick test at a doctors office. If you think you have a similar allergy I’d suggest…

I usually manage my stress with my workouts. When I can’t workout a nice aroma therapy bubble bath and some alone time usually helps me reset and refocus.

If you have high cholesterol talk to your doctor before starting a HF diet

I have hashimotos and when I flare I retain an insane amount of water until my levels are corrected. There is a good chance a lot of what you gained if fluid from inflammation. Definitely get with your doctor soon to adjust your meds and get your hormone levels healthy

My scale says that with a BMI of 24 currently at 32% body fat. The Naval calculator online puts me at 20.7% with a 3% margin of error based on my measurements, height, and weight. I trust the naval formula more than the scale so I use that to track my bf% trend until I can get another dexa done.

I’m currently transitioning back towards maintenance and I relate to the anxiety around this. I maintained successfully for 3yr before gaining half back so I don’t really trust myself even though I know why I gained it back and have made sustainable lifestyle changes to prevent it from happening again. I’m still nervous. I…

I track my calories goal as a weekly average so I have high cal and low cal days. As long as I’m within my weekly goal I don’t worry about it.

Work for what? To lose weight? Sure they work for that because you are consuming less calories. The downside is fast weight loss usually also results in muscle loss which for some is a deal breaker. To get adequate nutrition? Not usually but it’s possible depending on the shake and what else you are consuming. As a…

What else has changed? I know for me when I find myself binging it is stress or hormone related. Addressing the cause is what helps me change the behavior.

No, but it also says if I ate like that every day for 5 weeks I’d hit that number and I’ve never had a 5 week streak eating exactly the same.

What I personally do it set MFP to sedentary so my base calories are the lowest and then FitBit adjustments tell me what to eat specific to my activity level that day. I find it easier and more consistent approach.
-
I'm still sick, although much better than I was and I can eat again. My activity is still low and I'm trying to eat at maintenance for now, at least until I'm 100% healthy if not longer. According to the scale I lost 11lb in 2 weeks being super sick. According to the math since I still was logging I should only have lost…

" I also have my fitbit linked to myfitnesspal and mfp only takes my steps from fitbit." This isn't actually correct. The FitBit adjustment is for all activity including steps and other workouts entered into FitBit. It's the calorie burn difference total. It rolls over to MFP as a single adjustment and isn't broken out by…

I fall asleep more deeply on a full stomach personally. It’s a matter of preference.

How much weight do you have left to lose? Are you already in a healthy weight range? More info is needed.
-
Why do you think eating late isn’t good? Meal timing is a matter of preference. I lost most of my weight eating 2-10pm. I’m not hungry until later. I personally can’t workout when I’m full and like a big dinner so I’d have a snack, workout, then come home and eat a big meal.
-
I’ve never felt like I had to eat at set times during the day. Dinner together as a family is the only scheduled meal we have and that’s because it’s the only meal that consistently works with all of our schedules to sit down together. Some days I eat nothing until dinner and have a huge evening meal. Other days I might…
