I've been doing this for about 2 months now. I've been struggling a bit with the weight loss portion, but I'm losing inches. I've lost 5 inches off my hips since I started.

I eat back some of my calories if I feel like I need to. I don't usually feel like I need to. I use cardio as a tool for heart health, not for weight loss.

Hi there, I added you. I started at 311 and am S L O W L Y working toward onederland myself. Seems impossible some days, but I'm super motivated and chipping away at it! Hope I can help!

I often have this problem. I got over being sick a month or so ago and I'm coughing like crazy after heavy activity. I have a lot of issues with post nasal drip this time of year, so I chalk it up to that. I don't have any shortness of breath, just coughing, and it's improving with time, so I think it's just my lungs…

I went through this exact thing a few years ago. I was gaining weight and experiencing night sweats on celexa. My trainer had me on a very low calorie diet, which was not working and I was feeling dizzy and faint daily. I had my doctor switch me to Lexapro (which did AMAZING things for my anxiety and it was once daily) and…

This sounds funny, but it works. I used to do It all the time when my hair was long. Take a sock you don't have a match for and cut off the toe, and roll it into a donut shape (or buy a hair donut). Slide it over your ponytail, spread your ponytail out over it and cinch it with a thick or silicone hair tie. It will stay in…

I walk in place all the time while I'm watching TV. Moving is always better than not moving, and it's almost always raining here. I switch it up by walking with my feet apart, pulling my knees up higher, punching with my arms while I walk, or walking with weights. Do what you can do!

Hey there. Feel free to add me if you like. I have to fight really hard for every single pound I lose, so I know what you mean about having a hard time losing. It's tough, but once you start seeing results, it's really self-inspirational! For me, the biggest help has been no carbs after 4pm. I tend to eat the most calories…

That was the image I provided to my tattoo artist as inspiration, yes. A million points back to you for recognizing it.

Here's my back piece.

I also have over 100 lbs to lose, a total of 150. Feel free to add!
-
I have 4, 3 small ones and a larger back piece, which I plan on expanding once I'm further through my weight loss journey.

Ahh, a fellow frost lover. Thanks for your story and the extra motivation!

I struggle as well. I feel like I have to fight really hard for every pound. But that also has empowered me a lot, so it has turned out to be a positive thing. I started blogging about my journey and it has really kept me on track.

If you are getting more of the vitamins and minerals you need on a daily basis, your hair, skin, and nails will all benefit. Your hair may seem thicker and fuller - including eyelashes and eyebrows.

Hello and welcome!
-
Thanks! I'm drinking water like crazy but I'm terrible about lotion. I do take leutein (sp?) Supplements that are supposed to assist with the loose skin issue.
-
Thanks everyone. I'm excited for the future loose skin or not. :)

I don't understand why support is such a confusing term for so many people. When I thinking about giving support, it means encouragement, and being present and available. Am I crazy?

Hi and welcome!

To be fair...the poster wasn't saying "stop exercising". I believe the intended message was, "don't kill yourself doing cardio when what you really need is more 'activity'." IMHO.

Skills, just read through almost any of the forums. There are many ways to go about it, but just logging your food and exercise will help a lot.

While I am planking, my dog thinks it's funny to crawl inside my shirt and lay under my boobs.

I haven't done this, but I've heard of people taking coconut oil as a supplement.

I'm 21 lbs into a 150 lb (at least) journey. Here for support and encouragement. You can do this!

I've been afraid to use one because I've seen stuff about it compressing your rib cage over time. I'd be interested to hear the answer to this question myself.
-
Welcome and congrats on taking such a positive step!

Too crabby. (ha!)

No babies yet, but I do plan on it at some point. I'm not really concerned about it so much as curious. I'm thinking genetics won't be on my side. I come from a long line of obesity. I have a bunch of scars from surgeries and such, so I will just try to view it as a scar of weight loss. :-)
