I'm out of work for the next 6 weeks so I got myself out and about and walked 2 miles today didn't quite feel like enough so I'm aiming for 4 tomorrow

I keep a schedule myself. I find I snack more at night and it was definitely harder at first but over time I got used to it and now I eat regularly even if it is at 2 am. Oh plus goo protein towards the beginning of my shift to keep myself fuller longer.

Welcome everyone I'm so happy to meet you all

Not time for my update but I just wanted to say I check this every day. Watching all these numbers drop is one of my biggest motivates at this time. You are all amazing

It's hard when you want to help someone and they're not ready to help themselves. Maybe by making yourself an example you can be an inspiration to him

I realize my last statement in my previous post sounds a bit rude. That definitely wasn't my intention. Surgery isn't a quick fix. Surgery is a major commitment and I guess I'm adverse to it because it doesn't exactly teach you how to live a healthier lifestyle after the loss. You have to live a different life but I…

You can do it hold on to that determination

I've found this group very helpful and supportive as well http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/112934-over-300lb-daily-accountability-group

Two of my coworkers went with weight loss surgery and I find myself staring at them jealous. But it comes with risks and doesn't always stick. If you don't learn the change of lifestyle no matter how much you may loose you'll go back to an unhealthy life. I figure slow and steady for a better life not just quick results.

I was under my usual calories today. I know I'm not supposed to restrict my calories so much after surgery but I felt nauseated all day and couldn't get myself to eat much. What I did eat was nutrient rich with good protein though

Throwing myself into hobbies helps me. I also find that having small portions of the cravings helps me keep from obsessing. Moderation is key

I started my journey with a very similar realization. My heaviest I was 368 lbs I had gained nearly 30 of it in a matter of months and knew I was heading in a bad direction. If you ever want someone to talk to I'd be more than happy to chat.

Good on you bored snacking is one of my biggest problems. I'm not looking forward to 6 weeks off work. I'm nervous about old habits. Easy to avoid snacking when you're out on a casino floor working I had minor surgery today so I went a little over my usual calories but on track due to Dr advice. I feel like I cheated…

Baking is my biggest passion followed closely by music. I find myself dreaming up recipes during down time at work, or watching youtube figuring out new cake designs. I struggle a bit finding a good balance with baking and watching my calories but I will say my family loves it. Every time I bake I take a few pictures and…

I feel your pain. My partner is all about junk food. He's never had to worry about his weight so it never occurs to him. He tries to be nice and pick me up treats as well, but that just makes things worse :/ he means we'll but I kinda want to strangle him and eat his fries........

I'm sort of a Luddite I can't seem to enter my info

Yesterday I stayed under calories though I did indulge in some mini Cadbury eggs (evil little. ...) today my calories are a bit odd because I work nights and I can't eat after midnight due to surgery in the am.

Same to you love

I find it far easier to talk to a stranger than someone I know. They listen to you without being bias. I know it sounds weird but a compassionate counselor helps a lot and you don't feel like you're being judged

Congratulations to those that have hit their first mini goals My mini goal is to have dropped 30 lbs before I see my nutritionalist. I see her on the 14th and on my last weigh day I was down 25 lbs. I've been fluctuating a lot but keeping on target with my calories so I'm hoping
