Think about when I go home and get in bed at night how I'll feel. If I gave it my all I feel great laying there if not I feel like *kitten* wondering what more I could have/should have done. Those nights that I feel like crap are the motivation I need to push through almost all workouts.

Thanks for the ideas. As far as how I hurt it, I believe it started after a night that included overhead dumbbell press. The next night I ignored my body and did heavy sets of dumbbell bench and incline which finished the job.

This is an awesome idea that really just put it in perspective with analogy. After big milestones, I usually celebrate with a large steak, or greasy cheeseburger and fries, then hate myself afterward when I have to work hard for three more days just to get back to where I was.
