Uh oh, here's another: dipping my pizza crust in soda. That's one I only do at home, the bologna bag sniff is public, but turned away.

Sniffing the bag when I get bologna from the deli.

So many things. For starters: bacon. It's okay, life would be fine without it.

Mashed potatoes with more mashed potatoes.

Came home hungry, did A LOT of walking today. Nothing in the fridge, but there are three jars of peanut butter in the cabinet (crunchy is open!). Walked away and came to MFP, I just know that if I grab a spoon, I'll eat about a half cup of the stuff...and then eat more of something else. Gonna fill a big glass of water,…

I understand nothing will be exact, but seeing as I've seen so many comments stating that MFP exercise calories are grossly overestimated (as evidenced by @Tacklewasher s account showing DOUBLE actual), why doesn't MFP change how they estimate burn? If their goal is to make users feel better about their exercise by…

I started adding OxyClean to each load, seems to have taken care of the stink. Before, they'd smell clean until I started heating up and sweating...then I'd get a nasty whiff.

Glad to hear she is a friend, that you are truly concerned and want what's best for her. Maybe she will be open to learning from you if you're close. Using the app, I'm unable to see profiles so I go by what is presented in threads. Thanks for the clarification.

My ex husband had tonsil stones, they were top notch offensive. Check your throat for little white bits, brushing and flossing and mouthwash won't do anything for you if that's what you have. It probably won't hurt to drink more water.

Depends on what you mean by "work". If you mean learning about proper nutrition, portion size and control, and maintained weight loss, then no, they don't work. I suggest you not lose weight to teach her that her choices are not the healthiest, rather do it for yourself. If she is sincerely interested in learning how to…

Ask her what she enjoys :-)

Ha! Yeah, we need more people to just sit on the machines playing with their phones. I have my tunes, that's all I need, but I see a lot of people on their phones and wonder how they manage to workout at the same time.

It's scary and discouraging to see a number higher than you want or expect. Sometimes I get on and it's lower, other times it's higher, but overall, my weight is slowly coming down (which is how it works). As others have said, weight fluctuates. Personal story: I used to give my weight too much power over my self worth. I…

Thai lettuce wraps. I love butter lettuce as well as peanut sauce. Mmmmm!

How many knives should one have? I have a paring knife and a santoku (the ex got the chef's knife). The santoku is used most often and for chicken breast, pork, beef, fruit and vegetables.

Funny enough, I'm not much different today than the day I graduated high school (it'll be 20 years in June). That said, I've gone through a lot of changes lately that have brought me back to my true self, thankfully. Up until about a year ago, I was a neurotic, controlling *kitten* that didn't understand why nobody "got"…

My "shake" is milk, protein powder, cocoa powder...so it's really more of a chocolate milk. When I make smoothies, I use frozen fruit instead of adding ice. I'm sure it would handle ice cubes a few times, but I doubt it would survive much longer than that. The one time I added ice, it took forever and I still had chunks.

Congratulations on the confidence, energy, and motivation to take care of yourself! Letting go of things that no longer serve you (weight, husbands, habits/behaviors) is life changing, allowing you to discover who you truly are. Amazing work!!

I use mine to make smoothies, chop nuts, make oatmeal powder, protein shakes, and pancakes. It has a blender attachment as well as a whisk - such a handy tool that doesn't take up much space.
-
In that case, have a Snickers :-)

I also wondered if it's the lack of caffeine. Iced tea will be your bestest friend ever if you're looking to cut sugar and calories but not caffeine. If you're comfortable with eliminating caffeine, make that decision right now, otherwise you'll suffer like this when you don't get it.

Glad this turned out to be a little rant and not asking if it's true.

Even if I could afford to go organic, I wouldn't be able to bring myself to pay those prices - I'm a cheap-o. I was FLOORED when I saw a pound of organic butter going for $12. Perhaps if I was raised on organic food, I might be open to it, but I feel I'm fine with any preservatives and pesticides I ingest (I don't rinse my…

@PhilippaFonda I'm an omnivore, I eat some type of meat daily - beef, chicken, pork, fish. I am open to trying a vegetarian lifestyle, although I wonder how long I'd be able to stick with it. I suppose as long as I have a plan laid out, it'd be easier. The hubs has been talking about considering it, maybe a week trial…

Iyengar makes the most sense to me. I'd like to have a range of students from beginner to advanced.

I practice daily at the gym (yoga and Flow classes). In training to become a yoga teacher, I'm loving every minute of it!

I limit my time in the forums to browsing the first page of recent discussions and those I am following. So much time wasted going from one page to the next just to see "what's up" and then restarting all over again - and barely participating. *kitten*, I actually have to behave like an adult and quit procrastinating. Damn…

If hanging them below your desk isn't an option for you, maybe you can roll your sweaty stuff in a towel. It'll help wick some moisture away so that they're not still soaked (and extra funky) when you get home.

Yes, they're most comfortable and grippy.
