  • London, Ontario :-)
  • Are you saying you stick with the logging plan for 3-4 weeks and you start noticing a drop in weight so you stop logging? What is/are your reason(s) for losing weight? Perhaps writing that down will help keep you motivated...they're your own words, let your heart speak for you.
  • You sound fine. You're happy and healthy :-) Perhaps they see themselves as "normal" and anything smaller is unhealthy. At my biggest, I didn't think I was that big, but looking back, I totally was.
  • Penisia :D :D :D
  • I sincerely hope you have found help and are doing well. Life does not have to be such a struggle.
  • If you feel bad about what you said, then you crossed a line, regardless of how she took it. You know that two wrongs don't make a right, but amongst friends, those things can be worked out. Hard to say how I'd feel in this situation as I would not have said anything about your body in the first place. But since you…
  • They're holding them in during class so that they don't disturb others and likely feel great relief finally letting them out - good for them. The locker room is definitely a place where farting is acceptable. No way I'm walking to a stall to let one rip, it'll shift around, not come out, and leave me bloated. I'll hold…
  • I get my gear at Giant Tiger (ACX yoga pant).$12 for a medium-weight straight leg pant that fits perfectly and you can't see through. I cut them mid-thigh to make shorts, save the legs for another project. For what I do (yoga and elliptical), they're the most comfortable, functional, and I like how I look in them. SUPER…
  • Everytime you think you've fallen, brush yourself off and keep going. And Mexican is never a bad idea ;-)
  • Good work on losing 5 pounds! It's doubtful you undid all that work in just one meal, likely just some bloat/water retention.
  • One where I can be impressed with someone's strength or knowledge.
  • I only have a brother, neither he nor my husband are interested in men, so I guess I'm safe. I had an acquaintance "steal" my boyfriend in college. He broke up with me and ended up with her less than a week later (they were "best friends"). It hurt, I was pissed, but I came to understand that we obviously weren't meant to…
  • Seriously love that tingle
  • When you're told there's cheese and then you find out it's low cal.
  • You will be welcomed at an open AA meeting, closed ones are for alcoholics only. I've been to AA meetings where OA members were present because not all communities have Overeaters Anonymous groups. Sounds like you're open to AA as a possible solution, check it out - you'll hear people describe how you feel and you won't…
  • You're welcome. They're non-stick, but so much gets trapped in the grooves, a sponge just won't do. The top grill plate design is the issue, if it were the same as the bottom, it wouldn't be an issue. Disappointment to me, I even called and asked about cleaning, was advised against the brush, but it's the only thing that…
  • I have the 5-serving red one. It's good, but a pain to clean unless you have a brush. Usually line it with foil for easy clean up. I use the regular grill plates most (chicken, pork, burgers), sometimes the waffle plates, almost never use the griddle plate (I already had a big griddle for pancakes).
  • I can't do banana or egg (it would make things a lot easier and cheaper if I could), but when I'm faced with back to back classes, I bring a Cliff bar and leave it in my locker.
  • Do you do abwork? It doesn't necessarily flatten me out, just tightens things up.
  • Thanks for the info! I ought to read up on nutrition.
  • Hehe...I responded asking why it needed to be known ;-) But I'll share here :-) After being 5'6" since high school, I am now 5'6.25". How tall are YOU @tmanfromtexas ?
  • Anytime I catch someone's eye, I smile - whether it's at the gym, grocery store, sidewalk.
  • The ones that bother me the most are the one or two word messages like "hi" and "u on?". Be an adult, give me something to actually respond to. One guy kept asking how tall I was.
  • Have you talked to your husband about how you feel? It took me a long time, but I finally opened up - I was stressed and pulling away, as was he. He thought I liked "doing everything" because I'm a bit of a control freak, I thought he liked skipping out on responsibility because he's lazy. What came out of the conversation…

  • If you didn't take measurements before, grab a tape measure and get your numbers...they'll be more accurate than what a scale tells you. My weight fluctuates by about three pounds, it's a range. As long as you see a downward trend, then you're doing fine. Stick with it!
  • I assure you, you CAN go back - you will be welcomed and accepted. You mentioned staying sober for a horrible year, I've been there - that was on my own. Going to meetings, listening, and sharing when I have something on my mind have all contributed to learning how to live with an alcoholic mind - I now have something to…

  • People have their own likes and preferences, there is no such thing as satisfying everyone - that's why doing it for others can only take you so far before discouragement settles in. For me, it's about knowing, accepting, and loving myself. I'm the only one whose opinion I have control over. It's not so much about how I…
  • Totally. Can I eat a couple of king size bars? Of course. Can I be satisfied with just a bite or two? Absolutely!
