Thanks for your reply. I took it easy but maintained my weight through the holidays and now I’m back getting into Primal. There is so much good information out there that it is hard to pretend you don’t know it.

Hi everyone, it has been a while. My mother ended up losing her battle with breast cancer on August 30, and two weeks later my husband's grandmother died from lung cancer. I have managed to maintain my weight, but I have strayed from primal focused eating and I really want to get back on track to lose bloat, reduce joint…

@wellnesschaser my husband is the same way. I recorded Food; What the Heck Should I Eat -- it was a special on PBS featuring Mark Hyman who is now promoting a "pegan" diet which is pretty paleo/whole30, but the approach isn't as stringent - he promotes a 10 day reset and eating mostly plant foods, smaller meat portions, no…

Hi everyone, it's been a while and I'm trying to catch up. It is helpful to see how everyone has struggles but stays consistent. We are all doing our best! On Mother's Day I decided to try out pilates private sessions to really start rehabbing my core. It's going great, but really expensive so I need to figure out my next…

Hi Everyone! My sugar challenge with the kids and husband is going well. My three year old, who has multiple food allergies, has been the hardest and is the only one still whining. We are set to be done Wednesday. Unfortunately the kids want to go to yogurt beach (fro-yo) Thursday night. I'm allowing it and I think my…

Hi everyone checking in! @madwells1 things like that will happen from time to time. Doesn’t sound like you did too bad either. Just use it as motivation to get back closer to 90/10 for a while.

Hello everyone!! My sugar detox will not start until 4/22. My children are on vacation this week and my husband and I are going to the capital grille on 4/21. So after that I will be dropping sugar and alcohol. The more I read about it the more I feel like it is hurting my progress even though I don’t drink “a lot.” I love…

The detox is refraining from all added sugars, but not avoiding things that naturally have sugar in them. It will be a big step in the right direction! I am excited. Lindt 90 and PB is like heaven to me! If I could have that and martinis/red wine in a diet plan, what else would I want? :-) @eve70 - I can't wait for my…

Tracking is going well for me too! It is amazing how good I feel, and how soft my skin is! Outlook is good. Those recipes are very enticing. Tonight I’m going to roast chicken breasts with olive oil and herbs and add potatoes and carrots to the pan. I like to cook that at high heat to get the skin really crispy. I forgot…

Sounds good!

That's good thinking! So far, so good today. Tracking is so eye opening! what type of foods are you eating for your meals these days?
-
@eve70 I’m looking for support too, but I can only handle keeping up with a few people. Hopefully we can motivate each other! What tracking tips do you have for a repeatfailure tracker like me? 500 days is impressive!

I've been reading the primal blueprint recently and Mark talks about 80/20 - and he says to strive for 100% because it's impossible to be perfect so if you strive for 100 with little slip ups you should fall to 80+. A couple of other things in the book that resonate with me are: 1) once you realize it's a lifetime journey…

Sounds good. I am going with a mini challenge of tracking everything, mostly paleo/primal, only dairy is cream in coffee and limited butter, and limiting myself to 3 glasses of red wine a week. If I have wine I am not eating any fruit. Good luck everyone!

I have been off all week, my daughters’ birthdays are a week apart and Easter was in the midst. I want to track everything I eat for the next 3 weeks, starting Saturday. What do you all do to keep up with tracking?
