College for me was late 70's early 80's. There were no student loans. I drove a rusty 1964 Pontiac LeMans convertible with over 180,000 miles (I still miss that car). Ramen noodles, cheap hot dogs, Hormel chili, spaghetti, Totino's pizza, eggs and potatoes were the norm. If I wanted to eat better I hunted and fished and/or…

Every day after morning potty. My trigger weights are as follows:* 3 pounds up from goal, or less - don't care. * 4 pounds up from goal - let's see what tomorrows weigh in does * 5 pounds up from goal - time to get serious again for 7 to 10 days.

My supper was a 1300 calorie, pecan smoked, garlic-chipotle bologna sammich with stone ground mustard and muenster cheese. I was still way under calorie-goal for the day due to a nice hour long bike sprint.

I eat about 12 egg whites per week...if I do fry whole eggs I will usually do one with 2 or 3 egg whites.

I would do both walking and cycling. Mix it up. Have fun with it. Maybe let the weather decide which one to do. Also, push yourself...exertion will help with the calorie burn. One last suggestion - don't do cheat days. Do a cheat meal if you must, but not a whole day. If you feel a cheat meal coming your way, be good on…

I have had my identity stolen. Not fun. False income tax returns every year. CPAs on payroll every fall to get me out of the IRS mess. I carry the police report with me at all times so I do not get arrested for someone posing with my identity wracking up bad debt in my name. BUT THERE IS SOMETHING YOU CAN DO Contact all 3…

^^^This^^^ If you were walking before you were losing weight, then you should not count the same steps you would have done anyway towards exercise calories. Personally - I would still track them, but I would also ignore the calories it says you burned.

Kashi Pumpkin Spice granola bars are awesome tasting and filling...these are dry granola bars, not chewy. EDIT - I just read the ingredients and saw almond butter as the very last ingredient. Still a great tasting and filling snack AWAY from your school though.

Agree with above - but also consider the Carnitas...it is a pork roast like dish that shreds easily. Usually served with lettuce, tomato's and onions - guac, sour cream too. It makes some very tasty filling for taco's or burritos.

This pic is one of the reasons we do food plots for wildlife on our farm...This is a field of forage beans that should be about chest high, but the deer keep it mowed down to about 8-inches.

Correction - I had to smoke them at 275F to crisp the bacon...

Getting ready to smoke some pork-loin steaks...30 calories/ounce if they are trimmed of fat...but what fun is that? Instead, I wrapped them with a slice of Farmland 40 cal./slice bacon. I will eat the bacon, trim the pork loin fat, and eat the smoked pork loin steak - calling it maybe 35 cal/oz when done. Each steak weighs…

I love Kenyan AA, Costa Rican, and Sumatra coffees...I get these from a local coffee shop - fresh roasted and whole bean. If I have to buy mass-packaged grocery-store bought coffee (whole bean or ground), Peet's Coffee is hard to beat.

Star Trek is a future documentary

Thanks for this explanation...It looks fascinating for sure but I think I am a spectator, not a participant.

I thought they were sad...so confused now.

The glass window on my smoker...so I don't anymore. You could watch the eclipse through it now.

I agree..call a bike shop. Most bike shops will have bikes that start at $300 and then go up to however much you are willing to spend up to ridiculou$ly priced. Often times they have some used bikes for cheap.
-
It is definitely an adjustment. I think everything is said up above...except, experiment with some recipes. For instance...* Use a smoker. * Charcoal grill something. * Crock-pots are great for pork loins and chicken breasts. I could go on, but you probably catch my meaning.

@Caporegiem My earlier post proves to me yet again that something meant to be humorous "in print" can be taken completely out of the context that I meant it to be. I should have been clearer. Sorry about the misunderstanding.

I had the same problem - except these little flies were not drain flies or fruit flies - although similar in shape and size. These aggravating little things would land somewhere, dart about in a straight line a couple of inches, make an odd turn angle and immediately dart again. Very hard to smack 'em and kill 'em. What…

We only made it to ^^^here^^^ and we already have someone pushing MFP Premium.
-
I used to weigh 250 pounds and used Atkins (now called keto), Weight Watchers, and ultimately MFP/diet/exercise to reach goal (175 pounds or less). I cycle, swim, and run regularly and log daily. Add me if you want.

A 3 year old black lab is still a puppy - right? Try to keep her out of the water - another fail haha but a wet lab is a happy lab!

Put a little corn out to do a antler survey...not a single antler on these 16 turkeys ;)

Completing a Sprint Triathlon and not coming in last haha

Mmm...pecan smoked turkey breast.

I just sent a text telling my lawn-care-provider (aka Zach) that my yard was looking shaggy and that his check for $75 is in the wreath in the front door. That was grueling and I am exhausted...

I hire - my yard is 4 acres of which about 2.5 needs mowing - $75 Trimming - ha - that's a city slicker thing. Round-Up baby! 2 or 3 times per year. I brush hog my farm though - about 50 hours of tractor time so far this year. We brush hog about every 3 or 4 weeks. $31k for the tractor plus diesel :-)

OP - it is not a straight line for sure. Just keep after it! I seem to remember some sort of app or spreadsheet that did some smoothing - like a 10 day trailing average or something. It was all the rage a few years back because it let people see the long term weight loss trends and the occasional wiggle over the moving…
