It is much easier to put too many calories in your mouth than it is to exercise them off. When I cycle as hard as I can for an hour - I can only burn off about 1,000 calories - max So when I am done with that hard ride I can eat a mess of smoked chicken wings with ranch dip washed down with a nice IPA and undo all of that…

If you like Tex-Mex, I have posted my enchilada casserole recipe in this forum

I am making a double batch tonight...will use the black beans but only a single can (rinsed) for the whole batch. It will still be under 400 calories per serving.

I do pork loin or chicken breasts - seasoned for tacos - and shred them

I was at goal for a long time and looked good, fit, lean, healthy, etc. Then I had an injury, 2 surgeries, and a long recovery. I had to lose 9 pounds to get back to goal because I let myself go a bit. I made it back to goal but to my surprise, because of the restrictions from my injury and literally being in crappy shape…

I just posted my enchilada casserole recipe. You can substitute the ground turkey for the lean ground beef. I have found using a bit of water in the skillet to help immensely with browning super lean ground turkey.

Clear liquors with a diet soda mixer is the lowest calories that I can think of. Rum and coke, martini, etc.

Absolutely yes!!! I am 55 and I lost 75 pounds a few years ago - tuning up a bit now. My wife is down 39 pounds since January 10 and she is 56. BTW - she is now off of her blood pressure medicine. Big score there!!! We both have knee issues. So - I cycle - no knee pain there. In fact, it actually improved the pain…

This was a fun thread in my lunch hour. Kayrrie really does have a cute puppy I won't badmouth thin mints or beers if they are consumed seperately - otherwise be warned I won't badger like Mickey did as Rocky's trainer in Rocky I forgot the milkshake and burger - damn - that sounds better than thin mints and beer. I like…

Long time MFP user - lost 75 pounds a few years back and kept it off - I stayed in maintenance for a few years and finally cancelled my account - Big Mistake. I needed a little tune up so I created a new account and am working on building my friends list up a bit. I am active, daily user. Add me if you are the same.

^^^I am not sure what any of this has to do with monitoring calories.^^^ And you can pay cash or use check to see a doctor or a nutritionist (if that is what you are after). Get a good food scale ($15), eat normally, and watch portion sizes. Most fish, chicken breast, lean pork loin, etc. are great sources of low cal.…

When I lost my original 75 pounds - and then went to maintenance for several years and maintained my weight within a pound or two of goal - my body shape continued to change. If I did not keep active, my belly would grow (first) even though my weight did not change.

I lost 35 pounds (16 kg) in about 10 weeks when I first started getting serious about weight loss. I thought it made me look unhealthy (so did others) so I slowed down and lost at total of 75 pounds (34 kgs) in 18 months...which was way more fun.

Bacon and peanut butter...either answer is correct. B) Seriously though - I think a combo of lean protein with some fat is my favorite. But then again, I love a grilled rib-eye steak (but I will trim the big globs of fat).
