The header for this thread was coffee coffee coffee. Today I have only had coffee coffee. Time for another coffee so I can participate in this coffee coffee coffee thread :-) Black - of course

Please be sure to be here two weeks from now as well. It seems the first week or two is the hardest - learning your new dietary needs - learning a new app - learning to log your meals - etc. I am positive if you make it two weeks you will make it to the finish line.

Agree with above poster...your body shape will change and "catch up." Keep after it though - you could lose another 20 pounds and get your BMI into the "healthy" range or you can keep your weight where it is and get ripped in the gym. I used the gym and a BeachBody product - Insanity (my favorite to flatten my tummy and…

^^^this^^^ All humor aside, it takes a long time to gain the weight - It can certainly take a while to lose it. Set a realistic goal and go for it - try it for 2 weeks and see the difference.

I did Atkins for about 30 pounds - WW for about 20 pounds - and MFP for the last 25 pounds. All worked. Atkins and WW were OK for a while - but they both exclude or greatly limit things (Atkins=carbs and WW=fat)- hence why they are called a diet - and I don't think I could do them more than a month or two - tops. MFP is…

^^^this^^^ Use a heart rate monitor to get a more accurate measurement of your calorie burn too. I do a fast walk/run/uphill fast walk (at 8 degrees) mix. It breaks up the monotony of the "dreadmill" because I get to push the buttons ;-)

Add me if you want. I used to be on here for years and lost 75 pounds (my current 2-yr. old profile pic). I quit logging for about 14 months and gained a few pounds. I am back, active, and looking for active friends again (I wish I would not have cancelled my old account!).

Race the young guys on the KATY trail on the last 2 mile leg into the parking area. I rarely win, but they (and I) love the challenge and it makes things more fun. They most certainly don't want to be beat by an "old man" (from their perspective) and when we finally hit the parking lot, I am not the only one looking for an…

I have switched from Quest to "Oh Yeah! ONE" bars. I especially enjoy the birthday cake flavor. That being said - they are still not a lot better than Quest bars.

I am a poor friend with a bad attitude. Best stay away. :-p

All I know about this is if there is anything a non-conformist hates worse than a conformist is a non-conformist who doesn't live up to the present day standard of non-conformity.

I am offended that no one is offended yet... Have you ever imagined a world with no hypothetical situations?

Some people are just mean gossips... Why is it called lipstick if you can still move your lips?

I am back for some tweaking (i.e. re-losing 9 pounds and then maybe 5 more) Add me if you want.

Just because... Why is the third hand on a watch called a second hand?

Lean pork loin (30 cal per ounce) - crock pot - seasoned - shredded. Maybe even taco seasoning for some pork tacos (hold the shell?) Baked potato (maybe 150 cal) - I use salt & pepper and a little fake spray butter (maybe 10 cal) green beans (maybe 30 cal) Or add some veggies to the crock pot and a can of cream of mushroom…

I have done Atkins(30 pounds), WW (20 pounds), and MFP (last 25 pounds of 75 pound weight loss). BTW - I used to be on here for years as Go_Mizzou99. Atkins and WW both worked well for me...but they are diets. Atkins of course is low carb, WW is low fat. Diets quit working when you go off of them and I got really bored…

Woo! Congrats on the big "seven-oh" and you look great!

^^^This^^^ Protein and a reasonable amount of fatty foods are what helps keep the hunger pangs at bay. If you want more food volume - lets look at breakfast for an example: A large egg is 70 calories...two large egg whites are 34 calories (about the same volume of food). Use egg whites instead of whole eggs.

You didn't get to this point overnight - so with that in mind - it does take time to turn that station wagon back into a sports car. Keep after it!

Back at it again. Way back in the day, I used to weigh 250 pounds. I lost 75 pounds in 18 months and was at 175 for several years. I was on here for years as Go_Mizzou99. Unfortunately - I had to have a couple of surgeries that put a 10 pound weight restriction on me during recovery. I have not swung a golf club in 18…
