Me and some friends did a very casual form of a marathon. I've been wanting to do a real one in January and I'm building myself up to that

This is a good comment. Appropriate for some people but not all. My issue are the comments with generalizations that it's entirely bad. Let her and her doctor make that decision. Or encourage her to see her physician to answer that question. We are not qualified nor certified to tell her it's bad.

It's high because I'm still overweight. My workout heart rate was around 140-150 And I pretty much slow jogged an equivalent of a marathon that day. My point is, don't assume everyone is the same and tell folks this is bad or that is bad or don't do this. Give her a chance to see her doctor first. Don't assume the worse.…

Oh....and burning 2000 calories can be done as shown in a screenshot of my Fitbit information...this was taken last week...one day. Remember, everyone is different and not everyone has the same exercise routine
-
Totally not true. You can't say 1200 calories per day is not appropriate for EVERYone. Unless you meant not everyone should do a 1200 calorie a day and it's up to you and your doctor. I have a primary physician, cardiologist, and an endocrinologist all telling me they wanted me on a 1200 calorie a day intake. They've also…

I lose two lbs a week by doing the follow Go google a calorie counter Enter your age, height, weight, and sedentary (again this is depending on your weight...if you are close to goal 2 a week will be ....interesting) Then you'll get a list how many calories you have to maintain, lose 1 pound, lose 2 pound etc (if you begin…

I'll friend ya! I had to lose 150 lbs. down 60 lbs since February. Chugging along lol
-
With fat, it's completely random. We can't focus on specific areas first :( I so wished we could tho I've lost 60 lb so far and it seems it did everything but my tummy lol
-
It goes great with cucumbers, tomatoes and onions!!
-
I stalled because I ate too much salt. I lowered my salt and poof. No more stall. Weight watchers and lean cuisines are notorious for lotsa salt
-
No but it sure as heck helps lol It's a awesome thing just purely from a motivational standpoint

I've tried the Keto diet and I certainly lost weight but it never worked for me long term. I hate restricting foods to the point where i cannot have them. And a more important issue: my kidneys are only 40% effective after the dieting on Keto . Before the dieting on Keto my kidney functions were 100% because I had an…

A food scale is def way more better to precisely measure food than containers. You can get a digital scale super cheap on Amazon. I'm tellin ya, the best way is to just count the calories and weigh your food. I've lost 60 pounds in 3 months and one week doing that. No fancy plans. Just good old calorie counting and a…

There are other exercising other than running :) The point is you don't get fit from weightloss alone
-
I don't know if this is a tip or not...but usually more protein suppress my appetite. Like a 80 calorie Damon Greek yogurt has 12g of protein. It usually holds me over awhile
-
I'm 5'6 and I put in sedentary and I'm much heavier (240) than you and I need to eat 1150 a day to loose 2lbs a week
-
I jog 3 to 5 miles a day. To me, it really helps
-
I'm not sure how it works for breast feeding so I won't speculate on that. But according to the calorie counter I am 5'6 and 243 pounds now. In order for me to lose two pounds a week I can only eat 1150 calories a day. Every ten pounds I change it. And I've literally been losing two a week. 4 pounds a week when I exercise…

Free boobies in bed are happy boobies in bed

I still eat sugars grains but I do it all within the scope of a 1200 calorie diet. I used to try all the fad diets too but they never stuck because I never learned to eat right or I couldn't eat a large selection of foods to lose weight. For pastas I substituted white for whole grain...mainly because it's lower calorie…

I'm going on vacation next week and not really changing anything. I'm even bringing my yoga pants and finding a gym down there. For me, I've lost all this weight and worked my butt off...but that's not really the issue for me. For me, I'm addicted to food. I wouldn't have been fat originally if I wasn't. For me, I don't…

/wave hand in a mysterious manner "There is no such thing as starvation mode." But congrats on your weightloss so far! My preference is calorie in and calorie out and my weight is coming off faster than a dress in "Game of Thrones." But everyone has their preferences :) Just remember....at first, some of that weight is…

Oh man, how I wished we could spot lose lol That would be marvelous :p
-
Lol I wished that was true. Unfortunately, that's not always the case
-
I never could understand why someone wouldn't want to exercise as part of their weightloss. 1. Exercising creates a calories deficit which causes weight loss 2. Exercising makes You fit. Losing weight just from a diet doesn't make You fit. You could lose 200 lbs and if you never conditioned yourself to run a mile, you are…

If you truly want to get the most accurate form of calories burnt from exercise you must have a heart monitor. A chest monitor is the absolute most accurate ...but I settled for a Fitbit hr
-
Um...actually if you ate 1500 calories of just donuts a day and it's lower than your weight threshold then, yes, you will lose weight. But you'll also suffer from extreme malnutrition from not eating the right foods Calorie in calorie out. A calorie is a calorie
-
Lol that puts be way above the weight loss calories. Don't rely on that method!
-
The best time is once a week in the morning as soon as you get out of bed, naked

For me it was too much sodium which caused water retention which causes weight plateau. Weightwatchers, lean cuisines, and other packaged foods are notorious for this
