  • The majority of westerners can't handle Som Tam's spiciness
  • I just got my fitbit blaze yesterday. I have no clue what I can do with this thing other than wear it on my wrist. Add me on here and I'll try to check out if I even have a fitbit profile later today
  • Havn't joined a martial arts gym yet, but I plan to as soon as I can make some free time from work and dad life. I did 8 years in the Marines, and I guess you could compare Marine Corps martial arts to Jiu Jitsu combined with Krav Maga, but I would like to get into boxing or kick boxing as well as an actual Jiu Jitsu gym.…
  • Trying new routines (both diet and exercise) and getting your kids involved might help you stay motivated. I can never stop smiling and feeling proud when my lil girl works out with me and wants to do what I do. You've done a great job losing so much in the past 6 months. Keep it up
  • Good luck and welcome to the site. You can always get your kids involved if you want to share your effort. I find my kid loved yoga, and now she begs to ride her bike with me to the gym and run on the treadmill and lift the 2lb dumbbells. lol
  • Welcome to the site. I actually had a similar goal a couple of years ago and went on a diet before my Disney Land trip.
  • Good luck. Try to set a routine and make it become a habit so it helps keep you from becoming unmotivated. I'm in the same boat. I become bored extremely easily and have a hard time setting a habit before I want to move onto something new and eventually give up. I think I've finally found a new joy that interests me.…
  • Started Keto this week and combining it with IF. 70% fat, 25% protein, 5% carbs. First day on Keto was after a 48 hour fast and my weight is responding nicely. (cuz we all know the first day brings results, right? lol)
  • I prefer both. I'm enjoying fasted cardio earlier in the day, and then a session of weights in the evening before my final meal.
  • Instead of single best achievement, I like to think of all of the achievements I accomplished when in my best shape. 3 mile run: 18 minutes 5 mile trail run time: 38 minutes First 5k run completed in combat boots and utilities First marathon completed: unknown time but pace was around 6mph Body type: vascular Perfect…
  • I love liquid diets. haha. Smoothies all the way. So easy to make a 1300 calorie smoothie and take it with me so I can eat it on the go or at work.
  • I really don't have any advice that should be taken seriously. I've never felt depression before because I simply just don't give a *kitten* about anything. But hobbies maybe? Find something to get into like photography, video games, art, hiking, etc. It's my way of escaping the work and family life and having me time.…
  • Pretty much this. IF makes my day's schedule so much easier and saves time. I do 18 hours fast, 6 hour eat window. I don't start eating until I've done my fasted cardio and get home from the gym/work at 6pm because I love to stay up late and eat late dinners. I don't have to pack breakfast or lunch before work so it saves…
  • I found the most motivating thing about being at the gym at 5am, was I had the entire gym to myself. Noone in the squat racks, noone on the benches, noone in the locker room or toilets, etc. It was extremely peaceful and pretty much the only reason I looked forward to actually doing a workout in the morning.
  • I like the programs. The instructors are fun to follow, and they kick my *kitten*. I still love P90X abs over all the other ab routines I've tried. Insanity was nice, but I felt it was too sports and cardio based for my liking, but I would like to give it another try. Body Beast made me feel like a *kitten* in the gym,…
  • Most likely not near your age, but I'm a fulltime college student on top of working 55 hours a week and having 2 children.......so if you guys think you can top that, get at me :p
  • Live off campus, fast during the day, cook my own meals when I get home. Never did experience the whole freshman 20 (maybe 50 is more realistic). My office is my real nemesis. My project manager is always buying the office bagels, donuts, or pizza every week -_-
  • If she gets all of this at no cost, it sounds like a no brainer.
  • Gaspari Super Pump used to get me so hyped before the gym.......and that was when I was living on coffee and had blood made of caffeine. I've heard they took it off the shelves for awhile to redo their formula (basically take the effective stuff out). I've been drinking C4 every morning in place of coffee whenever the…
  • I was so confused. I was under the impression that BBW means big black woman. I was wondering what category you must have been viewing. Lol Even as big beautoful woman, i still dont see it. Dont really look for it either, tho.
  • I live in DC. We won't have snow for another 2 months, so I just travel to Snowshoe, WV or NY or higher for early season access. Last year was a bummer in terms of weather, but I woke up to 30 degree weather this morning and have been seeing multiple inches of snow dump in many areas already. Killington, VT already had…
  • I just started my first bulk after eating at a deficit for about half a year. Nearly doubling my calories and going from 25% carbs to 50% carbs. The first couple of days, my gut could barely deal with it. However, now I'm enjoying eating all day. I only eat about 60% of my nutrients throughout the day, and then make a…
  • Both my coworker and my wife's old boss have invited me to go mountain biking and drinking with them. They both have amazing multi thousand dollar dual suspension machines. I have a 15 year old Mongoose Pro series hardtail bike with cords on the dry rotted tires showing, and not able to shift into 1/2 of the gears. I think…
  • Do you guys download Strava on your Garmin? Last time I had my navigation enabled on my phone so I can use GPS and Strava, it drained my entire battery in the length of a 40 mile ride. I'm guessing it was strava killing it as I normally can go 2 full days without charging it, and that was the first time I had attempted to…
  • I already wear a back pack on all my rides since I'm coming and going from work, so my back is already covered. My backpack has a built in camelback in it as well. My back does get super sweaty, but as long as I continue to drink my water and stay hydrated, I have no problems. I've looked into cycling back packs that have…
  • I don't think anyone other than manga/anime nerds will get this one.
  • Good, so nothing that applies to me
  • I'm on a roll. Last week I had 2 entire medium Domino's pizzas. This week, I ate a bag of chocolate, a Godiva chocolate cheesecake slice, some 1200 calorie cheesecake slice last night, and now cheesecake for breakfast this morning (Thanks Cheesecake Factory). I confess I still have lost a lb this week.
  • I've worn no socks for the past 2 days simply because my shoes were effin soaked from the last thunderstorm and I didn't feel like packing multiple pairs of socks in my bag  I really really want a bib so I can just wear it and nothing else and look like a cyclist borat
  • So the bottom article might be satire, but why 3" rise socks and no camelback? Ive been hooked on camelbacks since 2005.
