Had a pretty bad weekend binge this weekend. I woke up this morning feeling so sick and craved anything fresh and healthy. My binge was on par with my old everyday eating. It's cool that my body no longer accepts that type of food as normal.

Thank you guys for you quick replies. I like the idea of eating back a portion of my calories. I also lift weights and I feel extra hungry on those days :)

Today I realized something! I love watching myself while I workout. I look so strong and fit now! I also had someone look over at me during my plank and ask "are you still holding that?" It was awesome, 4 weeks ago a 15 second plank seemed impossible now I'm holding 1 mintute planks with ease!

If you're only eating three times a day try making your portions smaller and adding in extra snack between meals. Eat lots of Fiber and Protein because it keeps you full longer :)

I had a huge NSV this Monday. For the past 4 weeks I have struggled with my planks on "ab day". My goal was to do 3 sets of 1 minute planks. Before Monday this seemed impossible. Some days I could do 1 set, others even that seemed crazy. But on Monday I decided to push myself and I did all 3 sets! It's the biggest…

@niciabrighteyes thank you for your encouragement. I always try not to restrict food because I agree it just leads to failure. I'm strict on my logging because even when I eat badly I log it so I'm happy I've kept up with that. I actually marked down on my calendar last night which days I ate over my limit and which days I…

Thanks everyone for the positive posts. I really just to refocus myself and reflect on all the reasons I started this crazy journey anyway. Luckily in the past 2 weeks of on and off slacking I havent gained back any of my progress so I can just pick up where I left. @Grimfeather I agree it should not be an all or nothing…

I'm the same way. We just need to take it one day at a time! Tomorrow let's eat well and work out!

I'm 5'4 and I started my journey around the same weight as you. I'm now down nearly 10 pounds. I also do weight training and find your picture very inspiring!

This is a picture from me 5 weeks ago and one today. Nearly 7lb down, I still have about 35lb to lose but I'm thrilled to nearly be at my 10lb mark

I've been super out of it this week and so my mini goal is just to get through this week! I haven't missed a work out or eaten over my calories all week. One more day and then I can take it easy on the work outs. I'm in need of a break after 40 days of working out everyday. (But to be honest I'll probably end up going for…

I am 5'4 and my start weight was 185 on March 30th. I'm now down to 178.2! I have my calories set at 1400 but almost always eat a net amount of 1200-1300 with my exercise. I go to the gym Monday to Friday and do 20-30 minutes of cardio and 20-30 minutes of strength training. On the weekend, I go for walks on both days. My…

My dad began getting very ill because of his weight and I realized that I need to change my lifestyle now so my future kids don't need to worry about me the way that we are worrying about my dad.

I know I'm going to a friend's tonight and we will be getting some not so great food so I hit the gym hard, then walked to the store instead of driving (50 minute walk). After work I might go with my roommate on her evening walk!

I haven't reached my goal yet but like others have said it's all about calorie in and calories out. I also would say it's about patience. Just remember we didn't get over weight overnight and we arnt going to get healthy overnight. Because of this it's important to make sure your plan is sustainable over the long term. You…

I felt the same frustration and I decided to only weigh myself once a month. I have found that I can focus more on how different my body looks and feels rather than the number on the scale. I haven't weighed since April 12th but I'm starting to not care as much about the scale
-
Today my pants were getting so annoying because they are getting loose. I was so tempted to jump on the scale and see what my progress is but I refrained. A week and a half left until we can weigh ourselves again. But I think after I weigh in on May 1st I'm going to try and go another month.
-
Thanks! I try and do a picture every week instead of weighing in because I find the scale discouraging. I'm excited for the day that I can compare these ones to the ones I take when I meet my goal!
-
Hey guys, is anyone else having a super hard time staying away from that scale? I'm still refraining from weighing myself but every time I go into my bathroom I'm tempted to hope on and "just check"
-
It's so hard not to weight myself! I've been doing it every morning and it felt wrong not to do it today. But I found that I was able to notice other ways I made progress today which made it easier
-
I'm going to give this a try :)

I'm only 20 days in but I have two: The moment you look in the mirror and realize you have a nice *kitten* The moment you go on a hike and realize you don't need to stop very 5 minutes! I'm looking forward to the many more to come as I move forward with my weight loss

Hey I'm also a university student. It can be hard! Add me if you'd like, I log everyday and my diary is open. Also I have a discussion feed started on here that has a lot of cool people that can be very supportive. If you can find it you can get support from them as well :).
-
Would it help if you packed smaller servings. Everyone's different and cold turkey might be the way fo you to do it but I know that if I tell myself that I'm not allowed something I'll crave it until I crash. I usually find healthier snacks and eat in moderation. I'm not sure what works for you but it's what works for me

Hope you all are doing good! I know right now is a stressful time for some as the semester comes to an end so just remember to take care of yourselves through finals :)

I also added you girls! I love the community on here. It's nice to know that there are folks going through the same situation as you. Sometimes the journey with weight loss can be lonely. It's also nice knowing that people can see my diary, keeps me accountable :)
