  • Wow what a rude Doctor! I don't know many doctors that would actually tell someone to go through surgery for weight loss. It's very risky and they actually make people lose weight before they even think to allow them to go under. And why couldn't you lose weight on your own? Unless there is a medical reasoning you can…
  • Hehe another Nichole? That's my name too :) Also looking to lose my last 15 pounds for this summer. Good luck to you!

  • Congrats on the big loss! I've also been working towards my goal, lost 30 pounds now but still have 15 to go. I also have been real big on become healthier and fitter. I'm personally sticking to cardio the most, as gaining muscle in a deficit isn't really helpful for me now. But i plan to start strength training once i get…
  • I'm from the states. Welcome :)
  • Give yourself a cheat day, but do so in moderation. Do you really need to drink all your milk shake? NO! So only drink half, split it with someone or throw the rest away. Remember ice cream is in 1/2 cup formulas (you really should measure in grams). You could of easily eaten more than you think. But one day of bad isn't…
  • A normal heart rate is between 60-100 beats per minute, no? Though you're on the higher scale it's definitely not abnormally high. The more fit you get, the better your resting heart rate should be. It's why i LOVE cardio. I have a heart rate of 60 per minute. I would of loved to have known what it was before i started my…
  • Well you already know how to be fit, so that's a plus! I was a chubby kid for as long as i can remember. I remember wanting to lose weight so badly, i even drank apple cider vinegar because it was "suppose to make me lose weight". I got to 165 pounds, avoided all mirrors and was completely disgusted with myself. So i took…
  • So you're meaning you struggle to eat 1,800 calories? How much are you consuming in a day then? Are you accurately measuring your food? Using a food scale for solids and measuring cups for liquids? Are you losing weight? Inches?
  • Are you putting the loss rate to 2lbs a week? Then MFP is going to pretty much always give you the lowest, which is 1,200 calories. But most feel that's extremely aggressive and not many people tend to stick to that. Most people eat back about 50%-75% of the calories they gain back.

  • 1,200 is the lowest a woman should go. But most people don't recommend that, such a huge deficit in such a short time normally causes people to run themselves into the ground. Listen to your body. If you're feeling really hungry or tired it's wise to up your calories. And if you're exercising you should eat back about…

  • No such thing as starvation mode. But it's wise that you did up your calories. 1,200 should be your lowest. Anything lower can actually cause very negative things to your body. But keep up the good work. Your battle is keeping in a calorie deficit. Good job on the 13 pounds lost already :)

  • I finally hit the "last 15 pounds" goal. 120 has always been my goal, so it's just a matter of time. I feel myself running thin though.. I'm not getting the fast results i'm used to. But we'll see. I feel myself getting a bit sloppy with my calories. I'm starting to get more hungry, so i might need to cut back on the…
  • 1. Start to wean yourself. If you have, say 3 a day, only do 2 a day. Then 1. Then only drink its 6x a week, then 5, etc. 2. Don't buy more than what you're allowed to have. So if you can only drink 5 a week. Only keep 5 in your house. If you over drink them then you have none left. Period. This sounds like an addiction…
  • I started at 165 pounds. I'm 135 pounds and i'm just now noticing a visible difference in myself. But people in my family started commenting when i had lost my first 10 pounds or so.
  • I assume since you're looking to lose weight you're on a calories deficit? I would imagine that's why you're feeling fatigue. Most people can workout everyday, but they're eating at maintenance or even a little above. So you need to start listening to your body. I workout 6 days a week. Sunday is my day off. But i've been…
  • Are you measuring both sides in the same spot? Moving a little lower or higher on my leg can actually give me an extra inch. But no, both of mine are even. But was always told to measure both legs, so i assume it's pretty common. If we favor one leg, or arm, over the other. My right arm is strong than my left, but both…
  • Well... i'm actually sitting here eating some now. And i have to admit, i don't exactly hate it. The texture is extremely weird though. Though i'm not liking it with fruit. Definitely a savory thing for me. I would love to try it with some veggies! Or some toast. Next time :)
  • That's what i thought... unless cottage cheese taste way different than how i'm imagining it? I'll try it both ways, i guess. I'll buy the cottage cheese with the "fruit flips" and see which, or if, i even like it. Thanks everyone for the replies by the way!!
  • I guess i'll have to give the fruit idea a go first! I do enjoy peaches :)
  • I'm 5'3. I'm at 135 pounds and looking to get to 120. So 15 more pounds for me. I'm 22, soon to be 23. --ooops double post--
  • Hey :) though i'm a bit a head of you, i've already lost 30 pounds, i still have another 15 to go which are proving to be pretty tough. I'll be more than happy to help you out and try to motivate you.
  • im 22, 23 soon. added
  • 22. 23 in a couple days though
  • Sadly, yeah. You just gotta keep eating at a calorie deficit and lose weight, eventually the forearm fat will go away too. I was 165 pounds, had "back fat" and didn't lose it till almost 30 pounds lost.
  • More friends the better. I come on everyday
  • Are you stalled completely? Are you losing inches?
  • You can try youtube for cardio videos. Or you can purchase a DVD set. Strength training would be hard unless you don't mind buying weights.
  • Don't give up :) One day at a time. Continue to push yourself!
  • I drink chocolate milk all the time :) Like others have said, as long as it fits, go for it.
