I have a few. When I run 5k, I have a long playlist that I rotate through. I usually set it up so that as I hit the last km, I hear Eminem's Til I Collapse and Survival. It's really tough to quit a run with those songs playing :).

I've seen a few people recently that I hadn't seen in a few months. They all noticed and mentioned my weight loss. Definately a good feeling :)

How is everyone making out the last couple weeks? The group has been pretty slow. Things are progressing well for me. I'm down 61lbs total now, and getting a little more comfortable eating treats, as long as they stay within my calorie goal. I'm sticking with the running, 5k every other day. It burns soooooo many calories,…

I'm down 61lbs now, and have about another 15 to go, so sounds like a pretty similar spot. What has been key for me to succeed is not actually cutting anything out completely. I just eat less of the bad stuff, have controlled portions, and make everything fit my daily calorie goal. I have pizza once or twice a week,…

Currently at 189lbs, started at 250lbs in March. I'd like to hit 180 by about Halloween.

Nicely done!

I completed the program about three weeks ago. Since then, I'm running 5k every other day. I don't feel the urge to do 10k. I may start tacking on a bit more distance to my runs. I live 8k from my work, and like the idea of running home after work sometime. We'll see...

Set my personal record at 30 minutes 1 second this morning for a complete 5k. Woohoo!

Don't feel bad, just get back at it. We all have bad days, no big deal. It doesn't mean anything except that it is time to refocus. You got this.

I'm in. That'll land me at 175lbs, which is about where I want to be long term. Let's do it.
-
I'm at 191lbs now. Another half pound and I'm down 60lbs total, so shooting for that, as well as being under 190. After that I'll chase down 180.

Congrats on your progress, everyone. Stick with it, it is rewarding :) I ran for a little longer last night, did 5.3k. The 5k was 3 seconds off my best time I've done. I'll take it.

Keep at it, you'll get there. I recently completed couch 2 5k. I am amazed, and super proud that I can do it. Never would have believed it a few months ago.

Haha, I've had a lot of people very interested in how I lost weight. Until I tell them it was by eating better and exercising more...then they lose interest.
-
Good advice, thank you :)
-
It's a lot of work, but it is worth it. I'm really happy being able to run 5k :)
-
Haha, that's awesome. Good stuff :)

I think it is the unsure how to bring it up thing. People always notice, it's in our nature. We just donnt always know what to say, or if we should say it.
-
I don't think it does either. I have received compliments from a lot of women, so they seem fine doing it. And I know a couple guys losing weight, and I'll compliment them. But it feels like it'd be weird mentioning it to a woman. Us guys are weird sometimes, though. :)

42 year old married man here. First off, I don't think I know any ladies that have had a major weight loss. If I did, though, I'd probably have to know them pretty well to say something about it. I'd be worried a bit about coming off like a creep that was hitting on her. I also feel that pointing out that I notice how much…

Nice work!

This is true. I was really happy with myself on that one :). Banged out another run last nite. Slower this time, but I'm not super concerned with speed at this point.

How are things going for eveyone lately? I'm tightening up on my eating again. I'd like to get down to around 170-175 by Christmas. Should be doable.
-
Really good progress!

It's really a matter of deciding what you want most. Do you want to continue wanting to get fit, or do you want to actually get fit? I was content with wanting to do it for years before I finally started doing it. When you are ready, you have to just do it. There is no magic push, just you pushing you. Once you do it a few…

Thanks :)

There are definitely two big accomplishments at the end of the program. One is running for 30 minutes. I was so pumped when I got there. But I wanted the full 5k. Hitting that was even better :)

That is it exactly - do the 30 minutes of running, then worry about your pace. Or don't. Just run.
