I don't want to log the rest of my life either. I also don't want to do my financial budget the rest of my life. But it works. If I know what is coming in and going out (calories or dollars) I have the control. There's no more guessing. I would much rather pre-log my food for 3 minutes every night than wonder how I gained…

Slower and safer is best. A safe but aggressive amount is 2lbs/week.
-
Yes, confirming you are right on the first 2. The last question is up to you. I vary my workouts a lot. But basically, the more you burn, the faster you will lose. It also has to be sustainable to work though. I guess I could run a 5k every single day but my body would not be a fan.

I prelog my food and stick to it. I find when I don't, I snack like crazy. I work usually 2pm-10pm and then switch to 6am-2pm. On my 2-10 days, I have coffee and a light lunch, a bigger dinner on my shift and then a filling late night snack. Today is a 2-10 day if you want to see. My breakfast is actually my late night…

And you don't have to cut carbs. Check out my food diary today. Does that look like a starving person?

You aren't putting something right into MFP. There is no way it is giving you 1200 cal/day. What is your weight/height?
-
You don't have to do Paleo to lose weight.
-
It lets me eat more. And I like feeling strong and fit I guess too.
-
I would start by setting your calories to what MFP gives you for your height/weight and set to lose 1 to maybe 1.5lbs/week. I would make sure you are drinking enough because it will make you feel fuller. I would walk instead of jogging at this point. Put on a podcast and walk. I'm at a healthy BMI and I eat 1300cal/day or…

I think shows like The Biggest Loser give people unrealistic expectations or something. This is a great steady weight loss, even on the aggressive side.
-
So you've lost around 2lbs a week? What is weight/height? This sounds amazing.
-
I'm a mom in my 30s! This has been the easiest I've ever lost weight and it has been steady. What I love is how I haven't had to give up anything I love. I just make it fit in my daily calorie budget. I've lost 13lbs in 3 months. This isn't a quick fix, it truly is a lifestyle change.
-
I would try to change your mindset from "fast" to "consistent". I'm steadily losing 1lb/week on MFP. I wish it were 5lbs and I could be done in a month but that isn't healthy or realistic. Just follow the plan, stick with it, move more and record every bite.
-
Just follow the plan. Record everything. You will start to learn what to eat by seeing what fits in your day and what doesn't. Give it time and stick with it.
-
Yep, the answer is maybe. It is pretty likely though that increased activity will lead to increased hunger and you will eat back all the calories you are burning if you aren't watching what you eat.
-
500 seems really low.
-
I feel like I have more energy
-
I just bought FitMiss from Amazon. I will post an update after I try it tomorrow.
-
Yep, the blog is wrong. I would at least eat 50% of them. You can look at my diary. I eat back at least half to all of my exercise calories and I'm still losing 1lb/week which is what I have it set at.
-
Awesome ideas! Thanks!
-
Yes, I had heard about greek yogurt. I need to remember to try that.
-
I haven't worried about macros. I love when I come in under everything but I usually go over on fats and sugars but well under on calories. Still losing.
-
I'm pretty sure most of the guys are too busy grunting and dropping the weights that they don't even notice. Just kidding guys
-
If by suppress sugar cravings, you mean you are choosing a honey sweetened water over Girl Scout cookies, then yes, I guess you will be snacking less.
-
I bet jogging in place would feel really exerting if you did for an hour.
-
Same point I made in the other thread...it can technically make you lose weight faster if you drink it as a replacement for a Dr. Pepper.
-
Have you refreshed your calories on MFP with your new weight? Your profile pic makes it look like you have lost a lot of weight and maybe you aren't at 2000cal anymore.
-
no, I take a multivitamin every day
-
Once a week and log once a week.
-
And I do understand you on breakfast. I'm not a breakfast eater. I just make it up later in the day. I can have a cup of coffee and be good until 1-2pm.
