  • Vegetables are the key. I can eat a HUGE plate of whatever veggies I want and be within 300 calories. For breakfast and lunch I really just try to make healthy options. On the go, I’ll buy a 200cal breakfast sandwich from Starbucks or McDonald’s. If I’m at home I normal skip breakfast and just have coffee. Lunch will be…
  • Iron deficiency most likely!! When I first started nursing school a year ago, I became deficient because of my diet and bruised so easily. I would wake up with 10 new bruises on my legs for no reason and people would point them out to me. It was so embarrassing. Try buying One-a-day supplements and B12 gummies :) Also make…
  • We have almost similar stats. I’m 5’7 and 137 lb. HITT workouts + weights in 30 minutes burns around 300 calories for me! I would guesstimate 250-400 cals depending on how long you work out. I’m not familiar with Firm but hopefully the example I gave helps.
  • 2 years ago I lost 20 pounds of my “freshman 15” weight gain (I’m still embarrassed by that lol) by using MFP. My diet during that period included sonic and McDonald’s when I commuted to college 3x week and a 1250 calorie budget. I fit it into my calories by not ordering fries or tots with my burger or boneless wings,…
  • I loved soda way too much to give it up... I switched to diet so that I could enjoy it for 0 calories.. Lol. That's my advice
  • I love my Fitbit Charge HR. it's amazing. I've had it for 2 years now and it's never let me down and is accurate for me. I'm about to get the Charge HR 2 to upgrade. My mom has it and she loves it even more than the original Charge HR.
  • Hmm... Well jump roping personally is hard to me!!! Lol. I do have a jump rope workout that is 30 minutes long: jump rope for 1 minute then do a different exercise for 1 minute then repeat for 30 minutes. It's soooo hard and whoops me. I think jump roping is a great way to exercise, but personally I couldn't do it more…
  • I promise as long as you're in a caloric deficit you will lose weight!! It's all about patience and commitment so don't give up :) It takes time but you will see results!! You already show the will to workout and eat right so as long as you log what you eat and workout you'll do great!
  • My weight went UP 4 pounds two weeks ago. I was devastated. It FINALLY dropped back down 5 pounds this morning, two weeks later!!!!! I was relieved to know it must be due to my new exercise and not to mention the food i was eating had a lot of sodium. Give it a couple weeks and it will drop down :)
  • Here's my routine!!! I'm still in the process of tweaking it to make it perfect for me but this is what I do in the gym: M: 25 minute cardio (elliptical or treadmill): Leg day T: 25 minute cardio (elliptical or treadmill): Arms/Abs W: 25 minute cardio (elliptical or treadmill): Full Body T: 25 minute cardio (elliptical or…
  • I feel the same way sometimes when I step on the scale and my weight went up. The important thing is remembering that weight fluctuates :) It will go up and down always, but on the track of weight loss it will steadily go down! I only step on the scale once a week to see my current status. Be sure to weight yourself right…
  • I’ve had the Charge HR for 2 years now and LOVE IT. I know you said yours stopped working... but did you like it when you had it? I plan on getting the Charge HR 2 in a couple weeks to upgrade. I find the calorie tracking is highly accurate. I’m in a deficit and eat my calories back that I burn and I’m still making some…
  • I did BBG 2 years ago. I did 8 weeks and it helped my weight loss for sure!!! I had a hard time staying with it and signed up for daily burn instead. Nowwwwww this year I decided to start BBG over again. I'm on week 6, muscle results are definitely showing but my weight loss is slow. Hopefully I'll see a big difference by…
  • Oh really! HomeGoods! I never thought that they would have that. Thank you!!! That will save me from waiting for the mail man lol
  • Log it log it log it........... It was a big reality hit for me. I LOVE a good whiskey and coke sometimes, until i realized one ounce of whiskey is about 70 calories. It's easy to rack on the calories from alcohol if you don't track it. I'm still in college and leave some room for calories when my friends want to go out…
  • This sounds amazing!!! I LOVE adding almond milk to my coffee when take it to go. This will be a great way to cut the cream and still have great flavors!!! Thank you so much for the link. Definitely buying a bottle.
  • Well it's so many tablespoons because my mugs and travel cups are so big. I don't have standard 6oz coffee cups. I have huge cups lol. My coffee is slightly tan from the cream...... I only did the "coffee to my cream" in junior high.
  • My FAVORITE way to eat cottage cheese is this!!! Toast some bread, add desired amount of cottage cheese on the toast, sprinkle cinnamon on top and drizzle on honey. IT'S SO GOOD!! I also like some of these other posts. I'll try those soon too!!
  • Currently Im 136 pounds, 5'8 and want to be around 130, lean and strong. I've come a long way in 5 weeks in regards to strength! I'm just tired of going to the gym and doing everything because I don't have a plan.
  • Me!!!!! I'm in college! I eat out a lot of the time but I'm willing to share and compare!
  • I had the same problem. Addicted to soda and gaining weight!!! Two years ago I switched to diet and its so amazing. Tastes great for 0 calories. Only problem now is i see my enamel is going away so now I'm trying to cut out all sodas entirely for the sake of my enamel.
  • I'm 20 years old recently with Rheumatoid Arthritis. My knee pain is so severe and is sometimes debilitating during the day. I started eating healthier to lose a few pounds and my exercise is biking to campus. My pain is already diminishing and i don't have acute episodes anymore. I would say it's definitely working for…
  • Ohh! Thank you so much for the breakdown!
  • Good point!! I am just a worry wart I guess, LOL.
  • I used to have tonsil stones for 3 years, it got so bad that I had to figure out what it was from. Turns out it was due to the amount of calcium i was consuming. I was drinking about 9 glasses of milk every day!!!!!!!!! I stopped drinking so much milk and my tonsil stones have gone away. Our cases seem different though...
  • I definitely think I ate good!!!!! I ended up eating only a couple chips and salsa, 1 nacho (size of a normal chip), and some bomb *kitten* fajitas. Thanks for the advice everyone!!!!!!! I'll be looking to use yalls advice again because like I said, we eat at Mexican restaurants EVERY Friday as a tradition!!!
  • I'm also from Texas!!!! :D we go to a hole in the wall Mexican place so unfortunately they don't have baked chips...... However I will take your advice on the soup. They have this amazing Mexican seafood soup and it's going to be way healthier than enchiladas......
  • Yes I do!! I even set my treadmill on incline when I'm not walking outside
  • I questioned logging it because I wasn't sure if picking foods that were compararable, but from different restaurants, would be accurate. Also It kinda bums me out seeing me go over so much!!! But I'm gonna log ahead of time so I can see where I stand :) I definitely don't want to be mentally consumed in this "diet" thing…
