I quit 4 weeks ago and it was and is difficult. One of the things I incorporated was a quick walk around the block or through the shop at work in place of having a smoke. I also use mints when I'm at my desk. It has been worth it though. I feel great and my kids both tell me how proud they are of me.

@capaul42 for me I am the opposite. If I go home the old me wins everytime. If I go straight to the gym I win 95% of the time. I would like to think as I get further in the journey my mindset will change.

I may get into them a little but I try to only consume my deficit. I only use the excersise cal as a bit of a padding if I go over.

Thanks all. I will say I found the free weights more satisfying. I can see both machines and free weights being a balance to my workouts though. Today is chest day so will be using both areas again.

@taradouglas I vaped until I was down to 0 nicotine then picked a Monday and sat it down. I have told myself I haven't quit I just have decided I am not smoking today. It took a lot of the pressure of failing off me to think I just have to not smoke today.
