Caffeine is what you want. Since you're sensitive to it, it means you can use less to get the same benefit. Try a shot of espresso. 85mg or so of caffeine.

Too much fat on my legs is preventing definition. Do not lose fat! Seems a good plan.

Barbell back squat, do it in a power cage. Then follow it up with Romanian deadlifts. Then a bit of work on the hack squat machine and then some glute ham raises.

Only one pre-workout I've ever seen research showing efficacy is caffeine. That stuff in coffee, so just pound a trenta iced coffee from Starbucks prior.

It depends on the nature of the failure. It could be a failure in the hip extension, knee extension, core bracing, ankle flexion/mobility, or balance. For what exercises to do? More squats. Then add in kettlebell squats. Then add in bodyweight only squats.

Not for me, they're a lot harder. Except for highbox squats, those are easier than normal squats.

If you eat too much every day you gain weight. Not carbs, it's excess.

You're not really doing weights at a level that are going to do much for you. The muscles know how to fire which is good, just not likely you'll gain muscle at any point like that, or retain the muscle in a deficit, which is what you'll need if you want definition.

Find a good program. Don't try to make your own. Starting strength is a good start.

Oh yeah, I went to a gym that was on the second floor of a facility. Stairs on leg day are more like descending Everest with a fixed line.

I'd advise following doctor's orders. They're pretty generally good about telling you things for a reason. My doctor said to not use my wrist for a month after my sprain and it should heal quickly. Ive got a meet I want to do, didn't listen, t months later wrist is still problematic.
