  • I was going to ask.this almost exactly. Also, how long have you been "stuck"?
  • I love all the doughnuts. But right now, I think it is really cool I can buy ONE Dunkin Donut Munchkin. One beautiful taste and nothing leftover to tempt me.
  • When you have a smaller amount to lose, the loss per week is small...like .5 pounds a week. Your .9 is a fantastic result! Definitely tighten up your logging by getting a scale. I am amazed at how inaccurate measuring cups are for counting calories. And my protein bars? Always heavier than posted. Best of luck to you!
  • No worries. Log it all as best you can because it is a good habit to do so and because you want.the data. (Weekly averages are awesome information to have.) "Start over" right now. Nothing is ruined.
  • Since you are not exercising, you need.to make sure MFP is set to sedentary. These meds don't cause calories to increase in value -- they can increase your appetite, which causes you to eat more. Eating more than maintenance will cause you to gain weight. You haven't been logging for the past two months, so you have no…
  • Your profile says you've lost 3 pounds -- which is fantastic for 10 days! What were your expectations?
  • WW was my first experience with weight loss and I learned a lot of good things. I successfully lost weight on WW but I've successfully lost weight on MFP too with a feeling of a lot more control. What I know now about myself is that I will have to calorie count the rest of my life in order to keep the weight off...and MPF…
  • Since you don't have so much to lose, make sure you have the right expectations. I would assume that your weight loss will be slow, like a half pound a week. Slow and steady wins the race.
  • I love adding sliced almonds, black olives, and artichoke hearts to my salads.
  • Annie's Tahini salad dressing and Kraft Green Goddess are my favorites. I've also used bbq sauce, salsa, and low fat mayo with siracha. (not all together!)
  • I don’t drink coffee either. Never could get a taste for it even being surrounded by coffee drinkers.
  • Been there. Done that. Doing it again...but this time with a maintenance plan in mind (it's called MFP). I still have 50 more pounds to lose but I am determined it is going to be the last time I have to lose weight.
  • Hungry or just not full? Not full is something you will need to get used to. Feeling hungry can be mitigated somewhat by making sure you are not being too aggressive on your weight loss goal (2 pounds a week is usually too aggressive -- switch to .5 or 1 pound a week). Make sure you are eating carbs, fat, and protein at…
  • I do 1200 calories and have my diary open to friends. I log (and weigh) everything. I love food and cooking. Add me if you'd like.
  • Brussels sprouts roasted in olive oil and sausage!
  • I will buy little spongecake dessert cake cups (80 calories each), top one with a cup of fresh, sliced strawberries, and two tablespoons of Cool Whip. So good!!!
  • I prelog my late night snack at breakfast and then fit the rest of the day in!
  • Patience. This is a long game with little instant gratification. Take the advice above and keep going.
  • I used to love water but after my last baby, it just tastes terrible. I love my Diet Dr Pepper caffeine free and Diet Coke from McDonalds -- yes, it really is better there.
  • That would be water retention. Generally, 3500 calories equals one pound.
  • Iron and potassium aren't musts in nutritional labelling so your reporting will be off. Potatoes are high in potassium and Brussels sprouts have lots of iron, as do other green leafy veggies.
  • Asparagus is ridiculously low in calories! Air popped popcorn with a little olive oil spray.
  • The fewest calories a man should consume a day is 1500 calories...unless directed by and supervised by a doctor. Why don't you give your doctor a call to see if they can recommend a nutrionist for you? Best wishes on your new lifestyle!
  • Eat your vegetables and fruits. Don't take them in a pill.

  • I prelog my evening snack when I log breakfast and fit everything else in.
  • I love Flax Plus Raisin Bran because it stays crispy in the milk. Today I had a McDonalds Egg McMuffin minus the cheese for 250 calories.

  • New exercise always creates a stall because of water retention. Keep doing what you are doing. Keep eating at a deficit. Keep exercising for health. Weight loss isn't linear...but stay the course and the scale will cooperate in a little while.
  • This --> And this --> Doing anything 100% of the time is pretty much impossible. 80/20 is a reasonable expectation of yourself. Live it and log it. Move on.
  • First, as long as you plan and fit it into your calorie goals, you can eat anything you like. (I find that prelogging works great.) Air popped popcorn is the lowest in calories of popcorns and you can eat some volume. I jazz it up with a few sprays of olive oil (which I do count), salt, and seasonings. Plus, being a whole…
