  • I log them, but don't stress. I guestimate them, but then I guestimate quite a bit. So far it's worked for me. As several people said if you're not losing weight then you probably need to.
  • Redwood fence boards.
  • I agree with PatchFan. On the other hand sometimes I exercise to I can eat if I've gone off the rails and had something out of the norm. I normally eat what I eat and worry more about quality and quantity than anything. Some days I have a hard time eating enough. I'd say if you're losing too fast then you might need to eat…
  • Be a careful with the B vitamins, if are taking a fairly high dose and stop you can crash. Been there done that. There are so many vitamin & mineral deficiencies that can contribute to depression in general. I fought it for years and am doing it now without the prescriptions. I tossed them all in the garbage several years…
  • If anyone is interested there is an android app: You Are Your Own Gym. No idea if it's any good, thought I'd share.
  • I have the Garmin Vivosmart HR. I think it does a pretty good job. Once in awhile I it think off, but because it has the heart rate monitor it does take intensity into account.
  • Daily most of the time for me, first thing before coffee. It goes up-down a little, sunflowers seeds play hell with my salt intake and I swell like a balloon.
  • I lost weight on Nutrisystems, but gained it back. I didn't change my habits or diet doing that and honestly most of the good isn't good.
  • I'll be 60 in August. I didn't have a lot to loose, just 25 lbs., but I also was so out of shape. Started walking. Walked on breaks at work, on lunch and after work. Sometimes not all that far, but have just kept pushing a little bit farther, a little bit harder. YouTube has some great "free" fitness videos. I like the…
  • I use coconut oil in place of butter sometimes when baking, adds a nice flavor to cookies and sweets with out the bad (but yummy) butter fat. Also so some think it improves bad cholesterol and your good much like olive oil. Tried it in my coffee. Flavor was okay, but the oil slick bugged me. I have to agree it's likely a…
  • My new favorite is chocolate protein powder (Trader Joe's brand) and PB2 Chocolate. I use Almond breeze vanilla no sugar milk. Add crushed ice or ice cubes. I only do once in a while, but it's quick and portable if I want to take to go.
  • Went wood cutting with my husband. Haven't done that in several years. Carried many oak rounds to the truck. Best part is I never got sore and was still up for a walk that evening. And shrinking out of my smallest clothes.
  • I like Yoga Zone for flexibility. There's a couple of different ones. They move pretty slowly and usually give you 2 versions of a move.
  • A bunch available on YouTube for free. Roku has YouTube, not sure about AppleTV. I like them and enjoy the variety.
  • I didn't used to sweat much at all. I'd be very red and shaking and almost no sweat.
  • Garmin Vivosmart HR- Love it. Didn't think I would, but it keeps me moving and tracks sleep and heart rate. I only take it off to shower. Don't have to, but its personal preference. For long walks and hikes I turn the activity tracker to run. Does a creditable job of tracking distance even without GPS. My husband got the…
  • I had the same dilemma. Went to the health food store and checked out the supplements. They were sadly lacking and decided to not worry about it.
  • I would prefer to never wear one, but for the sake of modesty and comfort I have to sometimes. Never to bed except while nursing and after heart surgery. I really hate sports bras but they're a necessary evil.
  • There maybe consequences, I'd recommend talking to your doctor. Body fat helps with the hormones/estrogen. I don't know how low is too low. My family was always concerned about my weight, but it was pretty much natural for me to be really thin until I was about 40. Now I'm fighting to keep it off.
  • Physical therapist told me ice, not heat after I exercise/stretch. Helps keep the inflammation down I think. Knee Hug Butterfly I can't find a name for the one the PT told me to do. I've seen it done laying on your back or standing. I can do either. Laying on your back bend one knee, foot flat and put the other ankle of on…
  • When following a recipe you will need to measure with cups and spoons then weigh or it's likely your recipe will not turn out correctly. Weight and volume are different and most recipes are based on volume measurement. I go online before going to a restaurant and look up the nutrition, helps me make an informed food…
  • Our library has mp3 audiobooks that I can check out online for 3 weeks. I download them to my phone. I've been commuting since Dec 2007. My drive is much short now, but I still like listening to them.
  • I hit a plateau a couple of weeks ago, went about 10 days where the scale just bounced up and down a few ounces everyday. Then "tada" another pound hit the dust. I'm 59 so not TOM, but I think those of us that are post menopause still cycle. If you've upped your exercise or added something new your muscles maybe holding…
  • Do you have a recipe you're willing to share for those black bean brownies?
  • If you're exercising you need to eat enough protein that you don't loose muscle instead of fat. I don't know what that number is. You might want to do some reading.
  • Sometimes it takes a while for the info to flow from 1 app to the other. I have the same issue with Garmin app and this one. Its frustrating but it eventually shows up.
  • I have the Garmin Vivosmart HR. Heartrate is in the unit. I know it's probably not as accurate as the chest strap, but it does help a lot. I don't sweat much so getting my heart rate up is important, but to keep it at safe level it important to me as well. I had heart surgery at 38 to cover a really large hole in the…
  • You probably did this but just in case-make sure the Fitbit app is on your phone and you're signed in. I couldn't sink my Garmin without the app. *Make sure both are well charged. *Try turning the Bluetooth off on your phone, wait a minute or 2 and turn it back on. And try the discover again. *If that doesn't work turn…
