Listen to Dr Jason Fung on youtube, get some finger pricks to see what your glucose is really doing (and keep a record), add a bit of exercise to your daily routine. Glad we're friends here!

I'm newly diagnosed (6.8), and just starting to learn how to eat. Been listening to Dr Jason Fung on youtube. Intermittent fasting and relative reduction in carbs. I used to be so hungry, and had no idea how to control that. Control your hunger and you can control your eating. Except for the fasting part, ha ha! Delaying…

Hi, I'm 67 yo female, inexorably gaining weight, with a history of high blood sugar. This week crossed the threshold, with an A1C level of 6.8. I've taken berberine for about 6 months. So maybe it's for the best. Looking forward to some medical attention, losing weight and lowering my A1C.

I was diagnosed with IBS, but not sure about that. I def have diverticulosis. There's a lot of advice and/or what works for me discussion. The last flare up I was plain confused about fiber vs no fiber. This time around it's no fiber until I have healed, then fiber is good.

From the clue you gave, it appears he loves you. So you're wondering if you don't love him or is it self-sabotage. There are no easy Internet answers from your fitness friends.

If there is anyone who does low carb and low animal, I'd like to friend you. Last time I tried it, I jokingly called it the eggs and bacon diet.

I hope you can socialize with them without ordering with them. If you can eat your own food before you meet them, it would help with temptation. Find other stuff to do with them too, wean them from the bars to the open air. Take a hike, go to the movies, play tennis, etc.

Seems clean to me, but carbs aren't an issue, so not Keto.
-
I'm doing very well with this. In fact, working at carbs under 40. I blew my carbs on one day only. Lost 6-7 pounds so far.

I started this past week. What I will be doing in April: * weight training 3x week * exercise 6 days per week, minimum 30 minutes, average 1 hour * keep carbs under 100
