  • Just looking for anyone who might have overcome a problem like this, or someone fighting a similar battle, for support. Or just some positively confident words, telling me I can overcome this and be my own master again... ;) Anyone?!
  • No real tips, but following to see what others have to suggest as I'm in the same boat as you. Been doing so well; now I've got more hours at work and also started two evening courses at college - sudden loss of all motivation to cook and even tracking seems too much hassle at times. But I'm not giving up this easily, I'll…
  • Thank you so much for your advise. I really don't feel I'm very well educated on this, so any help is truly appreciated. Just checked and my goal was indeed set at 2 pounds, didn't even know that! So adjusted it down to 1 pound.... My calorie goal jumped up to 1650!! Wow!! How am I going to eat all that?! Haha. I guess I…
  • 1290 is what MFP suggested after I put in all my stats. That is set on lightly active, not sedentary. I guess I'm going to have some trial and error here, finding out how much I can eat and get a loss. I had lost 65lbs on Weight Watchers 2 years ago... What I'm eating on 1290 cals on MFP seems more than the points I had on…
  • EDIT: Throwing your stats into a quick TDEE calculator, at lightly active a calorie goal of 1290 has you cutting at TDEE -42%. It's normally more advised to cut at more like TDEE -20%, so yes you should be eating some back and adjust from there.[/quote] I'm going to look really stupid now, but...... What is TDEE??
  • Thanks guys... I've never eaten them back before, but kept reading people saying I'm not "using the tool" properly if I don't eat the calories MFP tells me I've got. Think I will stick to not eating my step calories from work back, and up to 50% of exercise...
  • I've lost 65lbs on Weight Watchers, but have left them at the beginning of the year. Don't like the new smart points as I don't like being told what to eat, too similar to Slimming World... I think MFP is better, and free.
  • I'd love some more friends to keep me motivated! Add me!
  • Thanks everyone. Lovely. Isn't it nice how our bodies change? I never used to have much trouble with my weight and to think I might now join the yo-yo dieting party - not happy. It's so hard to stay at a low weight for me now though. So much effort... But I won't give up. I feel so much happier just being slightly slimmer,…
