I would really appreciate anyone who has recently started using a HRM friending me so I can see what works for you and having…

I was just thinking about starting a "emotional munchers" group on the site under communities as a good place to vent when I feel like I am about to succumb to my old ways. Would anyone be interested?

I'm sorry your parents have put you in such a painful position. You have a very mature insight into what is going on. Even though you will always be their child, you are an adult now and have the right to speak up for yourself and respectfully tell them they are putting you in a very painful and inappropriate place. Try to…

Seriously, when I do any of those videos, I look like a spastic stork with 2 left feet. Just keep moving in some way that keeps your heart rate up when the moves get too complex.Otherwise, you may have more luck with the videos that use exercise steps. They tend to have less complicated choreography and still keep your heart…

Welcome to MFP! If you stick with honestly keeping track of everything you eat, I think you will have success. The support is awesome. Find people you have things in common with and ask to be added to their friend list. Good luck!

Focus on the things that you can control...taking care of your precious children, taking care of yourself and how you choose to react to what he has done. In time you will realize that his leaving had way more to do with his shortcomings not yours. He has already hurt you and your kids enough by leaving, don't subject…

For your sake and especially the dog's, please consider how big of a yard you have when deciding on what size dog to get. If you don't have a big yard and/or the time to exercise one, don't get a big, energetic dog. My favorite breed is definitely basset hound, but be aware they are very stubborn and can be very…

It's what is commonly referred to as the bad cholesterol and depending on your risk factors it should be no higher than about 160 though preferablly less than 100 would be optimal. HDL stands for high density lipids and is the good choloesterol and actually has protective properties. It…

Everybody is different and it is very dependent on what you are doing. By exercising consistently and doing weight training you will increase your metabolism which will help and drinking adequete amts of water will help with water retention. You may want to measure each week also if you aren't already. A lot of times you…

I have always been an emotional eater. I have recently had to admit that journaling really does have a profound effect when wrestling with overly upsetting issues. I haven't thought to try grabbing a pen instead of a snack when I get the munchies. Thanks for the suggestion.

Bless you for posting this. I have been pouting that I would not be able to enjoy my annual cream cheese filled pumpkin bread this year. I think I'm about to cry, LOL
