  • And on a side note, I'm a little over two months in and down 24 lbs! I have about 35 to go :):)
  • I could use friends! I added some when I first joined but unfortunately a lot of them have quit already :(
  • My doctor was actually the one who said I needed to start exercising so I think I'm in the clear! She told me I am pre-diabetic. That was the kick in the face I needed to start getting healthier!
  • I was actually tested last year due to having no energy and always bein tired. It came back normal and it ended up I have sleep apnea.
  • Very good point! Luckily one has never been my top priority or in my budget so I just track my exercise in MFP.
  • On a side note, I'm not 100% sure it was related, but when I added an exercise goal, MFP increased my daily calorie amount. If you work out every day you may want to put that in there. Also make sure you are using the right lifestyle selector. And you can always eat back some of the calories you lose from your exercise.
  • I have tried out several different options when on the bike or treadmill. I tried the heart rate option once and I think I selected either 70 or 80%. It turned off about 5 mins into my workout when k got above 150. I didn't use that option again!
  • Thanks! I'm not too concerned about it, I think if it was a problem a doctor would have said something by now! I've actually been turned away at times to donate blood because they won't take you if your heart rate is over 100. I have to put myself in a serious relaxation state before going in. I am just not sure how or if…
  • At least I'm not the only one! Although I am sweating at 150 but I am only about 4 weeks into this! I have increased intensity but it never really seems to go over 150 either. I don't know if it matters but I'm currently 5'7 or so and weigh around 195 at the moment. Started at 208.
  • What type of calories are you taking in? I have found that by completely changing up my diet and taking in many more calories from protein, I don't feel hungry at all on 12-1400 calories a day.
  • If you're saying your stomach was relatively flat before and being literal in saying you look 6 months pregnant (without exaggerating) then I would say you need to see a doctor immediately. Going 2-3 days without a BM is normal for some people.
  • Most of the larger shops already have their regular menu items put into the system. I used to drink a venti caramel machiatto from Starbucks every day. I haven't kicked my habit yet but I now get a grande skinny caramel machiatto. Try looking it up (if you haven't already) and see if it's in there. Or you may be able to…
  • I added some of you! Always looking for motivating friends. Feel free to add me!
  • Thanks for all of the replies. They definitely helped. And this morning I had dropped 2 of the pounds that the scale went up so I definitely think it was the alcohol and probably water! Hopefully I can become more knowledgeable about everything as my journey continues!
  • No, I'm on BC and don't get one.
  • Great, I'll take a look. It will definitely help keep me motivated to know that stalling, etc are normal. And what I can do to help prevent it.
  • Perhaps not. Things can be misconstrued on the Internet. Thank you :)
  • I tend to disagree. Telling me it is a myth would be helpful input. Telling me I can keep myself busy by reading about it is not. But regardless, I am just looking for advice on my original post. I have read many places about it, including on here, so my apologies if I don't know better.
  • I haven't but I will look at them when I get back home. Thank you! And thank you for your reply. I'm a bit new to all of this so don't really know how all things affect my body yet.
  • Thank you! Hopefully that is all. I am getting back on track with the exercise tonight so hopefully that will help also. I appreciate the answer.
  • I'm okay. New here and looking for advice, not criticism for my possible lack of knowledge. If you don't have helpful input why reply?
  • My go to snacks are Greek yogurt, skinny pop popcorn, Kellogg's cracker chips and string cheese.
  • I'm 31 and a mother of a 10 year old. Feel free to add me if you'd like
  • I haven't taken it but from what I have read I wouldn't consider it. It won't help maintain long term weight loss. And I've read that it can cause anal leakage if you eat any fats

  • Nope. And probably never will be. But being able to "look good" in a bikini is not my goal. My goal is simply to be healthy.
  • I rarely have extra money but I can diet. Granted, my diet might not be the healthiest choices out there but they are healthier than before I started. I pretty regularly have the same foods, at least during the week. Don't give up yet! You are welcome to add me. I have an open diary and I promise you I don't eat expensive…
  • I set my goal weight for the higher end of healthy for my height (5'7"). My goal weight is 150. The lowest I've ever been in adulthood was between 155-160 so I'm being a bit ambitious. But I was pretty happy with my body at 160 also.
  • I'm with you there! I've only lost about 8.5 lbs so far. About 1.5 weeks in. I carry all my weight in my abdomen and some in my arms. I've cut back significantly on carbs and increased my protein so far. I've also added in cardio about 5x a week 20-40 mins depending on how I'm feeling. I work late hours so don't even get…
  • I didn't realize my sugar intake either. I may have thrown a temper tantrum the first time the app told me "your goal is to stay under xx grams of sugar"
  • I would love to be part of your journey! I started a week or so ago and have another 50 lbs to lose. And I would totally ride the Clydesdale!!
