I can so relate to this!

This! It's a lovely point to reach.

Please be kind to yourself and give yourself plenty of time to get used to the changes in your body. When I first lost weight (65lbs, around 7 years ago) I discovered that my boobs all but vanish when I reach the top end of a healthy BMI. I was annoyed and frustrated about this for a LONG time, and it took me ages to fully…

I have never paid attention to macros, never tried low-carb anything, eat bread, pizza, pasta etc. on a regular basis. I've lost more than 65lbs from a high of 205.

Dressing myself is so much more fun when my thighs aren't spoiling how everything looks!

I am absolutely over the moon today - I recently bought what I thought was going to be my 'ultimate challenge' dress on eBay - a size UK8 Monsoon fitted shift dress, lovely jacquard fabric, fully lined. Today I dared to try it on for the first time, and I can get it on and zip it up fully , and it doesn't look ridiculous -…

Pulled my jeans up without undoing them. Might be time to rummage in the wardrobe for the smaller ones...

I tried on shoes for a wedding with ankle straps, and they did up comfortably, no digging in. This is a new feeling.

I eat what I want within my calories, and always pre-log my meals so that I don't go off-piste. I have a sweet tooth so I'm sure to get a fix of something sweet most days - this morning that was a cinnamon raisin bagel with nutella for breakfast.
-
I was away for three days, mostly eating festival food/snacks/late night munchies and not drinking anywhere near as much water as usual. This morning the scale was 2.5lbs up; in real terms I overate to the tune of a max of 2000 over maintenance across the entire three days and I'm still sore and achy from being on my feet…

This is what I do too. Treadmill time is 'films my husband doesn't want to watch' time (either that or I have a youtube music video playlist on). I also run because it helps my mood, but mostly I run for cheesecake.

This formula does seem to work pretty well for me. Although I have a desk job, I walk part of my commute and walk at lunchtime, and am currently clocking up 12-15k steps per day, all in. If I set myself to active I get 1550 cals to lose 1lb per week, at very active I get 1750. I haven't logged any exercise at all, and my…

Whenever I go on holiday I walk everywhere; it's unusual for me do under 20k steps per day (at home I average 13k per day). If I'm in a hot climate I don't want to eat as much either, so I usually come home a little lighter than I left (once the water bloat I get from flying subsides; my body does not like being in the…

First thing in the morning after I pee. it's just routine.

-Eating up to 1550 cals/day -Making almost everything from scratch (so I can be accurate logging my pizza and curry) -Taking my breakfast and lunch to work -Eating something sweet almost every day (in this weather I am really enjoying the small ice cream mars bars from multipacks, and they're only 140cals) -Making sure my…

46 here - for me, the only hard part was getting started. CICO and consistent, accurate logging. I'm more than 60lbs down from my highest weight, all of it has been shifted post-40.
-
That happened to me this morning too :)

I'm trying to go the whole of 2018 without spending any money on clothes (other than essential underwear replacement). This will be a lot easier once I've lost the next 7lbs or so and regained the use of at least three pairs of jeans that are currently *just* out of reach!

There are a couple of posts at the top that are closed but you can start your own new one, just as you did here.

I'm almost 5'3" and a couple of years ago I was bouncing between 129 and 132 down from a high of 200-ish. That put me in a UK8 , which looked and felt right to me (I never really had a goal in mind). I'm currently at 145 and on my way slowly back down, but it's anyone's guess whether what felt right a couple of years ago…

My husband is 6'3",and has always been a healthy weight. I'm 5'3" and at my heaviest weighed more than he did. We generally only eat our evening meal together, but we eat the same stuff (the main difference being that if salad is involved, he gets to drown his in olive oil and I have a splash of balsamic vinegar). I have a…

This is an odd one, but I'll take it. My 6'3" always-a-healthy-weight husband has spent an hour this evening asking me about calories and portion sizes and finally seems to understand why I carefully measure things like olive oil :)
-
I eat chocolate because I love chocolate. I make room for it. CICO all the way.

That on a 'feeling fat' day you can look in the mirror and be absolutely convinced that you have ballooned overnight, whilst simultaneously fitting into clothes you couldn't get over your hips four weeks ago.

To wear my dark red linen dress to a friend's wedding in six weeks. It fits nicely almost everywhere, but another inch off the thighs would make it perfect!

Saw a picture a friend posted that made me realise how much the 17lbs I'd put on over the last year and a half had aged me. That gave me the lightbulb moment that expanding out of all but a small portion of my wardrobe had not! I'd used three consecutive leg injuries to excuse the weight gain (I'd stopped exercising but…

Not at success point yet, but less than 20lbs to lose so I'll chip in. I'm 46 and 5'3". Currently at 147.5 after six months of recuperation from an injury (I stopped exercising and logging); my happy place is 132. I've been back on track for the last week. Looking forward to my clothes not straining at the seams! :)

I was at goal 2 years ago and although I will always be pear-shaped, things did start to even up and look a lot more proportioned when I was approaching the middle of the healthy range. You could see my ribs when I was 10lbs above a healthy BMI and all the weight went from my top half first. I echo what has been said about…

I've planned my day around a piece of cheesecake more times than I care to admit! :)

My big success isn't worth a fanfare, but it's simply that I'm persevering when things are difficult and hurt, which is very unlike the 'old' me. I think three years ago the first pole sit would have put me off for life, but that version of me has gone for good :)
