Okay guys, been awhile.......231.5 lbs and counting. I'm sitting at 2400 to 2600 calories a day, and I'm doing a little more of the HIIT training. I have 3 rounds at night.....I run my first one which takes about a half mile. I walk another half mile and on the way back I crank out another one which gets me home. Then I…

Okay guys and gals......its been a week or so and I'm happy to say I've busted through the plateau. Anyone looking for a good workout I highly recommend researching Dr. Tabata and the so called "tabata" workouts. Absolutely incredible. I've cut my workouts into a 1/4 of what I was doing and my current intake is around 2400…

I know my fitbit is an over estimation but as far as my eating goes, I've gotten pretty good at the calorie work. I'd say 60+ lbs later Ive don't pretty good, I believe the lack of food and intensity of my exercise were over looked a little by myself. Ill catch back up with you guys after the weekend and that'll give me a…

I keep good track of my calories I'd say. I dont have a scale, but as an example tonight we had a Food Lion brand thin crust Mexican pizza. The whole pizza is 880 calories so I eat half and feel confident that I'm at around 440 calories for dinner. Noodles are a little more tricky, but the box I used was 8 servings at 200…

I could use more water for sure, but I don't think I'm too low. I drink probably 3-5 64oz bottles a day

Holy smokes folks! I did 12 minutes of Tabata training tonight and I am dead......I mean just down right exhausted. I ate 2300 calories today and I'm going to give this whole HIIT a chance to see what comes of it. Hands down the most drained I've been in a long time. On a side note I felt like I deserved my big bowl of…

Hmm, sounds interesting. I'm starting something new tonight to see how it goes. I'm sure everyone has heard of Tabatas, thats what I'm going to do in the evenings now and cut out some of the cardio. Never done it, but I've got a pretty good arrangement laid out

A big 10-4 on that. Another little tidbit that may or may not be helpful is I'm fairly sure in the dictionary under the term ADHD there is a blurry picture of me because I couldn't stand still long enough to pose for the picture. I'm just hyper....contrary to how my posts sound I'm not in pain or anything. I'm genuinely…

That is a good thought. I'm not doing too much with weights other than a kettle ball for my calisthenics. My workout usually consists of 5 sets of dips, 5 sets of burpees, various planks, 5 sets of push ups, 5 sets of leg lifts, I have about an hour of tv time and I repeat that. Of course my cardio which takes up the blunt…

I don't eat my exercise calories. I set my goal and stay there regardless of activity. I think it just may not be enough like you guys were saying

I agree with your numbers, I researched my maintenance as well, and I tried to work around that to find some balance but here I am, lol. I think I'm going to do a reboot for the weekend and go back to 2400 and bust out some very high intensity for some research numbers. We'll see, I'm going to up my fats as well since i am…

Wow, thanks for the input! My routine consists of: - 1 mile hike / jog in the morning before work - .5 mile uphill interval sprint walk at about 9am - At lunch I do a 2 mile mountain climb about a 800 ft elevation - After work is another 1 mile hike to the place I park - then when I get home I do mixed calisthenics for…

Blaze is awesome! 5 days of battery life, and the heart monitor is damn near aligned with the real deal medical equipment. I've had mine for 4 months and that's through the rain, mud runs, rock climbing, and mountain hikes.

I'm going to drop back to 2100 to start and see where it gets me....As for an update, today I upped my morning routine to include 30min on the elliptical before work, and a 3 mile run in the evenings.......I'm determined to get over this hump!

I've been bouncing on my weight between 245 and 250......I'm just now really getting into my macros, I was just watching my protein for the most part and my calories, but I think you may be on to something with the fat intake......my macros are always off as it's been hard enough just watching calories, but my fats are…

Thanks for the responses. I guess I can drop back to 2k on the cslories, I just can't make heads or tails of it. I was just looking at my diary and on any given day I eat between 2200 and 2450, my exercise calories are around 1100 to 1500. Can it really be that far off? I mean I know simple science calories in and out, but…

I have to say calisthenics are the way to go. I'm a pretty big fella and I do all body weight exercises and it's great. The best thing is since it's your body you can adjust however you like to make your workout more comfortable.
