Just some advice from a guy that has been using the app for almost 2 years. Don't rely on motivation. A true desire to be healthier will be needed as well as discipline to get through the tough days. Anyone can friend me for support.

@Mommy2boys2017 sorry to hear that life got in the way. It sure happens to us all. I would suggest that you not want motivation as much as you want to be healthy and fit. Motivation comes and goes, but desire and discipline will help you succeed.

@Lolo422 hi and welcome to mfp. Logging is the key. Motivation not so much. To really change ones lifestyle you have to have the desire and discipline to keep at it. Measure success in small goals like losing say 5lbs at a time. I will send you a friend request for support.

Hi, best of luck on your journey to a healthier lifestyle. Start slow, small changes regarding your calorie intake. Reduce them by 500 calories a day. Get steps in, walk as much as you can. When small changes start to happen your motivation and desire should really kick in
