I have a gym membership just so I can use the treadmill when the weather is bad or it's too dark, etc. I hate walking on the treadmill, but it's the only other option. I usually just walk outside. But, I don't mind the price just so that I have a backup when I need it.

Are you weighing your food when you track it? Are you tracking absolutely everything? If you're gaining 5lbs a month you can't be eating in a deficit. Where did you get the 1400 number?

I've never been a runner. Never. But I still try. I can't run for any significant length of time. I'll run for a minute at about a 12 minute/mile pace and then walk for at least a minute - usually longer. Why are you eating so little? Your body may be holding on to what it has because of that. Less than 1,000 calories a day is not healthy. Just something to think about.

I weighed out one serving of Honey Kix the other day and I thought that was a lot. But, I don't normally eat cereal so I don't know what other serving sizes of higher calorie cereals look like.

I find that being active in the community here helps to keep me reminded of my goals and why I'm doing this. I'm also learning a lot in the process. Try joining a challenge - it helps to keep me motivated if I know I'm going to check in with people regularly. I always find that it is so much harder to do this alone.

I google around for meal prep recipes on Saturday and find that sounds good and try it for the week. I've done this for two weeks now with really good luck.
