I like oatmeal because it you can add fruit and yes I add cinnamon as well and helps keep me full until lunch and is a lot better than the sugary cereals that i used to eat. Eggs are good for breakfast as well.

yes - i track veggies.

I agree with the above post. I am an extremely picky eater. When I find something that i like that fits my calorie goal, i tend to stick with it until I grow tired of eating it. I can eat the same thing for weeks before I get tired of it. eat what ever you like as long as it fits into your calorie goals.

sugar in general is highly addictive as with anything that causes the pleasure response in the brain. I have a sugar addiction and have to be very cautious. If i start on something with added sugar it may kick off a binge that will cause a great deal of health issues as well as emotional. I have compensated added sugar…

i don't have fitbit. My smartphone will track a lot of what a fitbit does. I don't have a lot of money to sink into fitness so I track things the old fashion way. I be sure to move and burn more calories than taken in. I use MFP to help me track meals and exercise.

I like black beans as a protein. They are very versatile as you can find recipes to make anything from brownies to quesadilla's.

i was a smoker for 28 years. I quit cold turkey and haven't smoked in now 7 years. I have a sugar addiction. It is much harder to kick sugar addiction. I can avoid smoking because i can stay away from people places and things that trigger the urge. (even today after 7 yrs - still get urges to smoke). You cannot do that…

i am sorry for your struggles and please know that you really are not alone. The voice you hear in your head is also in mine and others. I am glad to see the posts from others. I had read that BED is real, however, i was unaware that professional psychiatrist would help with this. Let MFP family help you with your…

A little pick me up story. Our family went to dinner one night and the waiter took us to a table and not a booth. (I hate tables - you always bump your chair and stuff into the people seated behind you) When we were seated, I looked up and was surprised that I had more room. I commented that the tables must be farther…

First off - don't beat yourself up. So you had some bad days. We all do and I know exactly how you feel. I have had complete breakdowns when I have no will power or desire to stop eating. I have this voice in the back of my head saying "stop - you shouldn't be eating like this". But the bigger part of desire says "why…

He has never told me that I am too big, however, he does not like it when too thin. we have a happy medium that we are both comfortable with and that is my goal. We never turn our conversations into i or he is "too big" or…

i think it is worth a shot. Pay attention to yourself and your body. If you get into a position that you are not comfortable with, you can always stop. But if money is what motivates you, why not try. You should find motivation where you can. Sometimes it is hard to come by.
-
Good Luck. You can do this. Keep reminding yourself daily of what your motivations are. This will help.

I have a really hard time staying on track as well. It is easier if I make short term goals. Like day by day or one week at a time. Put thought into what you want to eat for the week and stick to it.
