Lots of walking and water, cut out the salt as well. Salt only helps you retain water weight. Keep lunches light. Keep salad dressings to a minimum. Lots of whole grains. Only lean meats such as turkey, chicken and fish. That is my only suggestion. Also rice is full of carbohydrates... My doctor told me that pasta and rice…

Sometimes just to do a little at a time can help, you won't over exert yourself. But if you have a cold or flu. It's always best to drink lots of fluids and get lots of rest. You can always start where you left off when you feel better.
