I wish I could live like the people saying you should be able to keep snacks in your house and develop a healthy relationship with it. But as my husband says, “ if it’s in the house I might get some in my mouth.” I use my discipline for other situations but in my own house I prefer to avoid the situation of snacks…

1. I don't have any left, so it is finally all gone. 2. When I eat something that upsets my stomach, I tend to keep that feeling and will not eat that again there are millions of foods that will call your name for the rest of your life. If your goal is to eat each one until you’re sick of it and don’t want it any more, I…

One of the mental thought patterns I have learned to challenge is that it is more virtuous to eat all the food rather than throw it out. I do not have food discipline and if it is there, I will eat it. Nowadays, I would either avoid bringing the pie into the house or if the pie does take me hostage, I I eat my piece and…

No I don’t. I’m content just to use the lowest number, but I did wonder what other people are doing.

Yeah ni worries, I know what to do and I’m doing it. I just have to wonder what psychology they are tapping in to. If an oldie like me can get enticed, then what chance does a newbie have 😏

I have not cut out sugar completely. But it is much more moderate than it used to be. I have noticed a significant difference in the roller coaster of energy levels - the highs and the crashes. I used to think it was normal to feel *kitten* for a good part of every day - thought that was what life is like. Nowadays I still…

Don’t laugh but sometimes I still pull out Jane Fonda from about 1982 😆

I like Good Thins crackers with lite Laughing Cow Cheese. And low fat Fudgesicle bars.

I have been tracking for 5 years and I probably always will. Counting is kind of like a mother to me - telling me when to stop 😆

I enjoy “Yoga with Pla” on YouTube. She has different lengths of videos.

I pigged out on sugar yesterday - doesn’t sound like much of a NSV? Well I realized just how much my sugar habit had previously been affecting my mood and physical well-being. Sugar makes me feel like crap! And somehow I never put two and two together. So that feels like a big realization and a new resolution to go easy on…

40 pounds lost. Love carbs and not the least bit interested in restricting them.

Oooh I have wondered about this too! Following

I’m pretty sure it burns calories just to drink it.

Who are you cheating on?

I have that problem too! Mine shows a huge weight loss though 😁. I have tried to fix it numerous times but the changes always revert back 😳

I have had that same feeling! This year I started C25K and ended up doing a 5k run! What a thrill! Don’t give up on your dream and you will achieve it -if not this year than someday soon!

About as long as it would take me to save $943. 🤪

As someone who works with lung cancer patients I cannot evennput into words how awesome I think this is!!! Congratulations on that tremendous first step and wishing you strength on the way!!!

I lost boob size but interestingly they actually appear to be bigger because I lost my belly and now my boobs stick out further than my belly.

My multi vitamins with minerals have 1.7 calories per tablet

Mediocre body??? What does that mean? I assume you are referring to appearances? Just give a little consideration to what an incredible miracle and mystery that body of yours is! It carries you through the day and makes all of your experiences in this world possible. Don’t you be calling that mediocre! 😳

Since becoming more mindful about eating, I have discovered the joy of getting hungry and satisfying that hunger appropriately. Previously my eating was usually habit, boredom, routine, mindless. I rarely experienced actual hunger pangs and often experienced discomfort from eating inappropriately or too much. It is so…

When I first started logging I think I just wanted to lose weight and look skinnier. It never occurred to me that there were a million other reasons to lose. That kind of awareness and motivation developed over time. Those things quickly overtook looking good though - things like no more back or knee pain, no more acid…

Thanks! I’ll check it out!

I used the couch to 5k app on my phone. It does a lovely job of easing you into running. That being said, if you hate it after giving it a good try, it might be better to find an activity you enjoy and will be more likely to stick with.

I think it’s because the more exercise you do, the more protein you require.

“Shrimp make me physically ill just looking at them.” Shrimp look like the grubs in my garden 😑
